I did El-alamein (seems easy to force all britons to surrender) and had enough time. My 3 experienced Artillery made the differance. 3 blows on the top of an churchill and it surrenders touched by weak italians. 2 of 4 tanks outflanked the britons from the south. My 8,8 ( heros: A+++ D++) is a monster, all i need is a range or movement +, >:)
Caucasus: do not underestimate the distance to baku and hurry to destroy the oilrigs near grosny (?), called city (29/16)
Greece: use naval and airtransport (only one airfield undefended) do not waste core units to clear the metaxa-line, breaktrough on their left side and rush to assit the weak italians. DV with 2 rounds to spare. I have 3 SE-Infanterie now, this was very helpfull in rough terrain.

A really wonderfull campaign with small sceanrios, each for one hour of pure fun. Thank you Nico!

@ iceflame: have fun and i wish you good luck in Malta, you will need it.

Bessarabia: DV, some turns to spare. The romanian groups in the south need some german airsupport in the first turns to breaktrough. The bridge is strong defended, crossed the river a few hexes south, after fighting down the southern battery (Levelbomber, artillery, 8,8 Flak). Had no problem with this map.
Thanks!

Moscow 41 is won! DV, 5 turns earlier.
My core has a little different composition than the core from the Africa-Path. I have an invaluable SE- Bf110 Figter-bomber. It helps to assit the flanks, covered by aux-troops. They have much work to do, several strong KV tanks and artillery. Sometimes you have to sacrify a unit to lurk them into swamps or cities.
Moscow itself is easily cleared, if Pioneers and Artillery are in postion. For aircraft moscow is a no-go, because of strong AAs.
I had only few turns with snow, sometimes with clear terrain, great!

Some aux-troops lost, but thiy had not such excellent equipment like my core. Sorry for that. :)

@Nico, have a nice time next days, weather here is too fine to play Computer; hahaha! :D :D :D

It has become too quiet on the custom vanilla campaign front. Niki, don't fade away from us! How shall we toy around with all our new custom units if you don't provide us your excellent scenarios to play with! :(

Hello Horst,
I'm currently working on official content. So for the time being all my panzer corps sessions go into that project. I will try to finish the elite core afterwards.

I know you probably can't reveal what - but I guess Soviet Corps!

The Elite Core Demo is now available!

https://www.sendspace.com/file/q5w6z3

Unzip the file in \documents\my games\panzer corps\mods
GME is not required nor desired!

If you wish to take a break from a large player army core, this is your chance! The auxiliary units will be much more precious.

The demo consists of 4 scenarios: Kutno, Warsaw, Narvik and Sedan. Decisive victories will allow you to play all 4 scenarios. A marginal victory in Warsaw, will take you directly to Sedan. A loss ends the game, except in Narvik. Briefings are kept (very) small, just like the seize of your core army. Kutno kicks off with 7 core units + 1 SE unit (you can still buy an additional core unit) and ends in Sedan (for now) with 12 core units + 2 SE units. Your savegame in Sedan will be compatible with the full version. Use all files that come along with it, that includes a slightly tweaked gamerules and equipment file. Besides the usual SE ground units, i also unlocked the SE planes. Have fun.

Nikivdd,

Very much appreciated! I'm 100% dedicated to finishing LoV so I won't be able to try this out until I finish LoV. But you certainly heard our cries for smaller cores and this is great :) I just hope there aren't too many aux units either.

This is in large part a conversion of the original that was made for Panzer General. Some maps contain more auxiliaries than others. I did make some maps smaller than the original but not all. So there will still be several scenarios with a whole bunch of auxiliaries. You should try at least the first scenario ;)

Thanks for something new to pass time before Soviet Corps on xmas or later...
Just finished Narvik. That was a close one for a decisive victory. I would adjusted the date there because it collides with 10th May at turn 10/12 when Fall of France begins (and plenty new equipment becomes available in my e-file). Also looks strange if your troops travel from Narvik to the Western front during the same day.

How about one new scenario per week, so everyone here has something to play? :)

Thanks Horst. I entered the wrong month in Narvik, it should be April, not May. I also added 3 turns, eventually to compensate for the (lack of new) equipment. The corrected version will be part of the next expansion of the "demo". I will also "fix' the campaign file, because i forgot to change it for the demo. As it is now, anyone who goes beyond scenario 4 will get a black screen. This will also get fixed in the next version.

Ah okay, I haven't really paid attention to the start dates until I suddenly got new gear. The Battle of Narvik with British, French and Poles was from 9 April to 8 June, so the date is not that wrong there.

Now to Sedan: Holy fortress! You placed British strongpoints and forts in Sedan instead of French. It doesn’t matter with vanilla-like e-files, but my structures differ between countries. Now I’m facing stronger British coastal guns which bombard with range 6 instead of 4. Ouch! :D

LOL, good you noticed. Gonna fix that straight away.
If they were British, i replaced the strongpoints and forts with their French counterparts.

The demo is updated.
https://www.sendspace.com/file/ecg00n

- Narvik has the date corrected, and in Sedan i exchanged the "British" stronpoints/forts with their French counterparts.
- Horst's most valuable input led to the expansion of the demo with 3 more scenarios: France40, Scotland and Balkans (Greece). For the sake of the demo a DV/MV in France will send you to Scotland. A DV in Scotland presents a choice (Eastern Europe/North Africa), for now North Africa is not yet available. Keep all your savegames, they will be compatible with the future updates.

France -> Scotland? :| Promise me there will be an England or London scenario. You can't just land at Edinburgh (ever played Uk18? It is too hard to dodge the RN)

Just arrived in Scotland. Time to liberate it from the English oppression just like in reality soon!
It’s only a diversion for the main invasion in the south that you luckily don’t need to endeavour with your small core force if the next stop is Barbarossa or Africa.
I think I’m going to pick the Eastern Front this time as LoV already pushes you to Africa.

For now only the Eastern Europe part has been unlocked. I'll add a few more scenarios before the weekend.

There is no Sealion 40, just Scotland; but the mod will have a Sealion 43.
