You chaps should touch base with your compatriots in Melbourne. They ran a splendid FoGN tournament last year that 1/2 dozen of us Kiwis attended (& hopefully will run it again in 2015 - hint hint ...)

We've also got a tournie lined up here in Auckland early next year (Battlecry, 14 & 15 February) that you are welcome to attend if you see some cheap flights across the ditch. It's a great way to learn, we've got a dozen veterans who've played 100+ games and are happy to nurse newbies gently towards defeat :)

Cheers

FoGN will run at Canberra this year. We would like a few more entries and it's not far from Sydney so I recommend playing there fellas.

The Melbourne league of Ancients Tournament will be on next year (thanks to Richard G for all the work it was a fun tournament) I think it will be an annual event for a while. We had two historical campaigns, and coming up a large 3 a side Austerlitz re fight.)

The Kiwis were a great bunch added some real oomph to the tournament helped give it such good numbers. On the table they were pretty slick and took the top three places (it's long tradition of Kiwis coming over the ditch and stealing I mean taking well winning by superior skill and talent) and a nice bunch off the board. I'm sorely tempted to return the favour (but looks unlikely with my plans this year but I would like to ONE DAY to cross the ditch and have my horrible revenge )

The Melbourne Tournament is a bit different with a scenario format but I think it worked very well (our FOGR tournament has been played that way for a while so thats sort of where that came from) Canberra wont be.

I'll be at Canberra, Almost certainly Russians. There will be at least a couple of others from Melbourne. (they will quite a few but at Canberra with so many different periods/rules at the same time they all wont be playing FOGN)

Thanks Guys.

I'm more likely to make it Canberra than Melbourne or New Zealand.

Like many players I'm torn about which version of FOG to play. I play all three regularly.

Already have Peninsular British/Spanish. I'm working on 1805 Austrians (which I hope to have finished in the next few months)

...yes, but you're already slated to play FoG:R @ CANCON.
