Jonathan4290 (Hatran) 39/64 defeats Batesmotel (Slaves) 81/73

This one is interesting for the bravery of the Hatran CinC who with a single BG of cataphracts and a storm of arrows from behind (also preventing him from breaking off) single-handedly halted the Slaves' right wing all game. Luck or some sort of divine intervention? Probably luck.

This is the second update to the tournament standings current to Dec. 1 at 9:00pm Eastern Time.

Pool A: 14/30 matches complete
The toughest pool has seen Cavehobbit (7-0-1-21) seize first place with 5 straight wins; his final matches are against CharlesWayneRobinson who remains undefeated (2-0-0-6). Rexhurley (2-0-1-6) and Greetings44 (2-0-2-6) also remain in contention.

Pool B: 13/30 matches complete
Stockwellpete (5-2-1-17) remains in first place although his grip loosened after picking up only 4 out of a possible 9 pts in his last 3 matches; his remaining matches are against fellow Div A player Macsen, who has yet to complete a game, and will be key. Voskarp (4-1-1-13) recently went on a tear, winning his last 4, but will have to completely overtake Stockwellpete who holds the tiebreaker edge. Maximvs (1-1-2-4) and Ricoual74 (1-0-1-3) also have plenty of games remaining and could make a push for a playoff spot.

Pool C: 12/30 matches complete
Turk1964 (5-0-1-15) and Steve-h8 (4-1-1-13) have established themselves at the top of the board, meaning the rest of the pool will have to make a serious push to overtake them.

Pool D: 21/30 matches complete
Jonathan4290 (7-0-0-21) defeated Batesmotel (5-0-2-15) in the away match and will likely win the tiebreaker edge as well to hold down first place. Most of this pool is already decided as the only player who can still mathematically overtake either of these players is Iandavidsmith (1-0-0-3).

Good job everyone (except you Macsen) on getting a head start on completing your matches. Best of luck in the rest of the tournament.

In first game apart from a few minnow MI spear and Lancers I was up against a Galatian mercenary force with the max of 24, cheesy, several of those were on 50% ish but do you think I could break them no argh $(*_&!$+&$ last turn i even sent a fresh unit of MI Impetous foot against a disrupted unit at 50% I inflicted precisely zero casualties wt!!!!!!!!!!!!

As for the second game I was in complete control for 98% of the game....well that is if you call marching almost 360 degrees pursuing evading MI and HI troops in control and then two bad turns and he sneaks in with the last combat of the game b ah.

Thanks for the entertainment though Charles and you finally have some wins against me maybe I should have called the password something different than revenge! lols

I think your pergamene army should have gotten a volksmarch trophy for all the ground they covered.
