Even a scout can take out a king tiger at 10% odds, so it may not be such a waste.pomakli wrote:88 firing on scout!!! what a waste!
About your 88 issue, if it is in cover (which it always is), your tanks can't see it, either can they see infantry unless they are spotted.

Experience Ratio = (def exp level + 2)/(att exp level + 2)
Entrenchment Ratio = (def entr rate + 1) /(att entr rate + 1)

How?
Carry the scouts bazooka by themselves?

Then the next quest.:
Why didn't fired the 88 on the enemies turn?

AI destroyed all my units in and round the victory ponts. But refuses to take the victory points!

On the top view the victory points/flags are not visible!

on the top view it's not possible to have a look to the battle field from our side/ point of view! You have always a look from the side!

During the naval bombardment on the squares out of my los (FOW) I am getting infos about enemy units! Unrealistic!!

I checked the code.pomakli wrote:Btw where did you get this info?Obsolete wrote:Even a scout can take out a king tiger at 10% odds, so it may not be such a waste.

251/9 was able to destroy a sherman in a distance of 6 squares!! the vehicle was build for fighting infantry and only in a short range against tanks! over powered against tanks!
Even Pumas now are taking out heavy tanks, nuts. I think things have gone a little too over-board on strengthening the units. I don't know, it feels more like an arcade game now instead of a war-game. Maybe I'll have to get used to it.

It is, but it prevents you from never knowing whether attacks have worked, which may be realistic, but is not a good way to provide players with the data to make informed decisions. It's always a balance.pomakli wrote:During the naval bombardment on the squares out of my los (FOW) I am getting infos about enemy units! Unrealistic!!

Tanks cannot see infantry or AT guns in terrain - ever. Only infantry can see in to terrain.
Bombardments cannot alter the terrain unfortunately.
The 88mm will only shoot at teh scout if it feels it has a good chance of hurting them. It cant never fire or it will not defend itself against infantry.
Retreats will always be to teh tile they feel is safest. It is a complex calculation based on threat and what they think can be seen. If you see it working wrong please send a screenshot so we can investigate.
Infantry can take out tanks if they use close assaults, grenades etc. This is the only way they can hurt a King Tiger. Scouts only have 2 attempts at taking out an enemy tank and then they are out of explosives.

Hi Ian!
At first thank you for taking time for all the answers!
Great job!

I find this one very interesting. Is the program so refined/developed; that it calculates that!?iainmcneil wrote:The 88mm will only shoot at teh scout if it feels it has a good chance of hurting them. It cant never fire or it will not defend itself against infantry.

Yes definitely - units that cannot be seen only fire if they have a good chance of doing damage.
Units that are already visible to enemy that could hurt them have a lower threshold so are more likely to fire just because if they wait, they could be dead. They'll even fire with 0% chance to hurt just to try and suppress the enemy. Thisis to resolve the issue of 10 shermans waiting for a Tiger round the corner. Individually they used to all refuse to fire because they did not have a high chance to kill. Now they all shoot and should suppress the Tiger though are still unlikely to kill it.

Can anybody explain it pls?
My scouts discovered a light fortification; they and an infantry squad and a sherman tank fired on this fortification for suppress.
I can not see if any enemy unit is in it but I thought its enough to suppress them!
Then I moved another tank and AMBUSH is there!
In this fortification is an AT gun and fired!
How can it be an anmbush when I expect an enemy unit in this hex and fired with 3 different units for suppress them??
