HI,
I played "Battle of Britain" and "Sealion 40" as standalone scenarios.
Congrats!!!
In order to destroy radar stations, the trick is to use the recon aircrafts as bombers, this way a station can be bombed two times by recon planes and then by a Stuka or a Me 110.
I also play at easiest difficulty settings because at leutnant level it is quite hard with latest PaK mod (most of British planes have a value of 15 instead of 10).
As an experiment, I also copy-pasted all scenarios of the original Panzer General campaign converted to Panzer Corps in my games/panzer corps/scenarios.
I did not want to lose the campaign of Pak Mod, I just wanted to play standalone scenarios of original Panzer General using PaK Mod.
It was an interesting experience to play Sealion Plus (with Italian Navy), Berlin, Washington.
There are odd things (all Berlin scenarios have only 8 turns), just two German units were stuck in the sea (Sealion Plus), but all in all, any scenario is playable.
This being said, I prefer playing the scenarios designed for your e-file in order to avoid surprises (even if I prefer smaller maps and less units to move).
Playing the Grand Campaign (DLC) with your e-file is a marvellous experience.
Note that your e-file works well with latest Soviet campaign of Nikivdd.
Hi Ajs81,
Ad2. We didn't think about cutting the script to 40 \ 41 \ 42 (I don't even know how to do it anyway ?!)
Mc Guba in his mod creates saved games (so the player starts the game when he wants with predefined starting positions). There is no script to alter. Indeed, creating such saved game is a lot of work. I understood your map is an experiment. It works well!
Ad3. As we know from history, from 23/08/39 the Soviet Union was in alliance with the Third Reich, so until 22 June 41 all its aggressive actions, e.g. against Poland or Finland, mean that they are Axis forces. Panzer Corps itself does not offer a "third option". Besides, even the Allies wanted to send troops to Finland in the winter of 1940 and they had plans to bomb the oil fields in Baku. So I have decided that by June 41' it will be rationally referred Red Army for the Axis. After June 22, 41 will be in the allied alliance.
In Mc Guba's mod, if the player (playing Germany) does not attack Soviet Union (does not capture any hex owned by Soviets) then AI (Soviet side) does not "fully attack" the human player (war is "limited" by air war and ground skirmishes). So in June 1941 if Germany does not cross the Soviet border, the human player is only at war against UK (victory is either capturing all Soviet V Hexes or British V Hexes, the player has the choice, he can also attack on both sides at the same time...). But this is also true in Mc Guba's mod : in June 1941, Soviet Union becomes to "Allied" side.
Happy New Year!
