I've activated the turbo, and I've finished the chapter 2 of the US long campaign today :D

As usual, you will be able to use your core from the previous chapter of that faction (US chapter 1 - Syria), or start with a fresh one that I give by default. Your choice. if you want to skip the 4 US missions in Syria and start with this chapter that focus on Ukraine, you can :)

Link to the campaign, translated in russian : https://www.mediafire.com/file/xdp63d5q ... n.rar/file
I've not tried to play it, but it should be fine. I've tried again to use an AI to translate the campaign, but it refuse to work on anything related to geopolitics in Russian... so I had to use google translate. It is useful to translate simple sentences, but since this chapter is a pivotal moment for my WWIII story, it is full of more complicated texts. I fear that google translate do many mistakes, but if you barely understand English it is better than a full english version.

NOTE : install only one of those version, the English or the Russian one. Since they have the same GUID file while being considered as different campaigns, if you install both of them, one of the two will not appear on the custom campaign selection screen.
This system will allow you to save your core in the future US Chapter 3, no matter if you played the US or Russian version.

Link to the map pack : https://www.mediafire.com/file/9n0j7maa ... 7.rar/file
This time, it's the map pack that have one less scenario.
What happened : I wanted to let the player have the option to keep his core or start a new one in the campaign, as usual. Usually, this is decided in the first scenario of a campaign. The game let the player continue with his core, or core units placed on the map by the scenario designer are given to him. This last option allow the player to have an adequate "default" core strong enough to play the campaign, even if he did not have played the previous chapter.
However, here is the problem : since the first scenario of this chapter was an infiltration mission, I was unable to give a "default" core to the player.
I found a solution : I added a scenario that allowed to put either the old core of the player or to let the scenario gives him a "default" core.
And since I find the idea of a "blank" scenario ugly, I put some decorations aroud it... and the result is the first scenario of the campaign  It support well the story I am telling and the numerous dramas to come; it is short, but it gives a good atmosphere in my opinion, I let you judge by yourselves

PS: Tobi was on a very good track. I removed the reference to the Galette at the last minute, but not the one about the boudin. His ears should recognize something if he stays in the first scenario long enough (7-8 minutes)

So, to be sure there is no bad surprises :
- Campaigns : 4 scenarios (1 bonus + 3 regulars) ;
- Map pack : 3 scenarios

Have fun :D

It's funny: recently, when I search for images on Russian websites, my IP address has been blocked by the Russian side on some of these websites (not all) because they suspect harmful or hostile actions by unwanted/hostile countries.

I admit, the first scenario was a bit confusing for me until I translated it. I think it took me 3 or 4 attempts and I had to laugh at myself.

I would be in favor of not bombing or destroying buildings of art-historical value in the game.

Towards a german translation ?

I may certainly use this Arc de Triomphe image in a future update, thanks a lot!
A scenario without ennemy nor bombing: it's a nice change

But I have a more important and simple update before doing something else : I have decreased the difficulty of the 2nd (or 1st real) mission.

But no, I can't be that lazy. :D It's relatively quick to translate, but I open the editor without looking at the scenario.

I've been thinking about creating a mission without combat for a while now. A construction scenario where the player has to complete a series of tasks to perhaps earn enough prestige points, maybe something with oil tankers from A to B, cargo ships that need to pick up and unload cargo, etc. We'll see.

In a future naval campaign I plan, I also had the idea to make something about an humanitarian mission.
From an helicopter carrier as a main base, it would be about sending helicopters to rescue victims (or localize them on the sea), transport them to hospital, dispatch supply, deploy sappers to repair roads or bridge, etc...
I await the "naval update" before starting it, and want to advance more in my story anyway; so I don't plan to do it soon.

If this idea could feed your "pacifist campaign", don't hesitate to borrow and realize it first

As they say everything that burns and destroys must burn and destroy ) Wars are not made with white gloves, it is always first of all pain, cold, hunger, despair, humiliation, suffering, etc. ) In the end it is a game and it is better to let virtual buildings burn than real ones ) Well kissophists can change their favourite game panzer corps to sims 4 there you will have peace and tetris ))))

Cool and thanks for the clarity ) About sites, I had to sit through Tor browser for about a month to be able to communicate with you for the last three days this problem disappeared ) Now I'm logging in again from a normal browser, apparently there were technical problems or just again went to the rapprochement between East and West as negotiations on the Ukrainian issue are starting ..... In hybrid wars there is also a battle for minds and support )))So now let's get back to the problem I faced )))) French armoured vehicles are not disappearing like planes and helicopters have disappeared ))

I hope that my russian translation don't modify somehow a text needed for trigering a script. I don't see how it's possible, I imagine everything

At the end I figured out what to do and in what sequence to do it all according to the scenario )))) My Americans didn't even go on foot - a flatbed army truck is also a force on the armoured personnel carriers banal not enough prestige ))))But armoured vehicles did not disappear like planes and infantry because I had to give a circle )))) Still, how wonderful it is when you understand the plot and what is needed from you, and not wander like a blind dull-witted on the stairs of the Tower of Babel ))

Mission number 2 in defence of the western Ukrainian puppet state was certainly no longer a parade and everything was already on the grown ups, alas I lost ) First I was let down by my arrogance , second a little limited budget in prestige and third that I could not buy Ukrainian units in time to patch up the holes in our joint defence , on the shop window there was only valiant US army and Ukrainian army which was not for sale ) + air and artillery support made it much easier for the Russians to advance ) Good text at the end before I was fired ))))) I will replay but I liked the map and objectives .....

I think you were right back then: I didn't gave enough prestige points to the player during the first US chapter.
Consequently, you are very short of points this time.

You're even cooler than some Tom, though.) You are the producer, the scriptwriter and the director of these battles in which I only modestly play and point out logical inconsistencies ! Well, the main sponsors of our project Lizards and Accula ) Yes and it is possible to solve the issue with the purchase of Ukrainian units from important Ukrainian villages and towns, because now it resembles the number of U.S. troops 51 U.S. states ))))) And not the territory of Ukraine )

Well you have my replay and international ufologists maybe they can understand what happened with the French tanks on parade but I had to give a circle to make room for the infantry )))) It's a good thing my wits worked, or we'd still be watching the parade.)

Re: Modern Conflicts : World War III campaigns

Post by Imeror »

(nearly useless) upadate about my plans : Tobi will soon release a northern campaign, Akkula is on an important naval update with a dedicated campaign ; so I'm taking a break from my plans and preparing to sink some ships myself instead

I still stand ready to make small modifications on my existing scenarios if needed.

Have fun, this month is full of scenarios to play :D
