I just realized there is this interesting mode "Battlefield: Europe" for Panzer Corps. However, I have no clue how I can play it on either Mac or iPad. Is it possible to play it on Steam (on Mac)? I will really appreciate if someone can advise me on how to play this exciting mode! Cheers :)
Can you play mods on iPad at all, I thought this wasn't possible?

Re Mac, don't know but I think there is some help on the forum (already), e.g.:

In case you speak French, there is also a short youtube tutorial on how to install the mod on a PC, maybe it can provide some insights/ideas as well (although you are looking for the Mac way of doing it):

Thanks again!

The thing is, I bought an iPad version of PC Gold but I have no clue how to download this mod and use it on iPad if possible at all! Besides, I don't have PC on my Mac (or Steam) but can get it, however, I still have no clue 1. which bundle of Panzer Corps should I buy and from where (Steam or elsewhere?) on my Mac 2. How to download/use this amazing Mod afterwards.

I actually just read the links you kindly sent me but there was no clear (step by step) guidance on how to do this! I will truly appreciate if you or anyone else can help me with this. Cheers :)

1. The base game is enough, no DLCs or Gold required. Maybe patch to version 1.31.
2. Maybe PM dalfrede, I think he is/was playing it on a Mac

Thanks again, I will! I'm really curious about the availability of this Mod on Steam, if I purchase it there. Something like Hearts of Iron 4 different Mods. Will keep you posted :)

Mediterranean: http://www.slitherine.com/forum/viewtop ... 45&t=89646

Any comments or suggestions are very welcome! :D
FYI, I just finished playing all four pre-Barbarossa scenarios in the reverse setup as well, i.e. the AI as Axis and me as Allies. Partly at Manstein and partly at General difficulties.

However, I don’t think it is worth preparing full (turn-by-turn) AARs for these four “unofficial tests” as they either were still “broken” (e.g. for force balance reasons or as the AI just can’t do certain things as it hasn’t been scripted to do so yet) or just not that exciting (=limited action)…

Nonetheless, I added shorts summaries/some thoughts at the end of the four existing/respective pre-Barbarossa AARs.

As an overall suggestion for the future, it would be really nice if these four pre-Barbarossa scenarios can also be played in multiplayer mode, same as the big Barbarossa scenario… and yeah, not to mention a potential Battlefield Europe Allied/Soviet Corps version (incl. short campaign), of course!

In addition, adding the Spanish Civil War of 1936 to the Battlefield Europe mod, i.e. as a small training mission before the invasion of Poland would be really great/interesting as in reality it was actually used as some form of “training ground/mission” for the later belligerents…

While fiddling with this Mod to help NiMa I worked out how use it through the mygames/mods
folder. So no GME, no mass replace/overwrite of PzC files.

Slightly harder than GME (if you have GME running), doesn't require 2nd PzC instillation.
I can write it up if anyone is interested.

Wow... this would be interesting, I guess that would apply to the PC version as well? Any more information on this would be highly appreciated, thanks!

It sounds interesting. :) Indeed, it would be nice to have a step-by-step guide for this so that I can possibly attach it to the next release. Overr time there have been quite a lot of people who had difficulties installing BE (and other complex mods) so any help is welcome. Especially if it is possible to run it on Mac somehow.

Wineskin is a Mac GUI port of Wine.
I believe Wine is primarily a Linux project, with MacOs piggybacking on the Linux effort.

So PzC should be Linux compatible. I don't use Linux so I have not tried it.

There is are communities of people doing wine ports of games.
If you do a web search you should be able to find them.
Some FPS games have had custom engines built purely to solve fickler problems.

PzC is an old game so use an old engine, I have had success with WS9Wine2.3 through WS9Wine2.19 .

Thanks a lot dalfrede! Just for my understanding, would you expect this to work the same way on a PC?

It only works on a PC.

I am writing up how to use the PC version of PzC on a Mac using wineskin elsewhere on this forum.

I may be able to make a drop-in package for the Mac version. But since it involves DRM issues I would need permission to post it.
The brute force method does work on a Mac, but I would not recommend it.

Ahh I see, thanks... I was asking as I might have been confused by the Mac screenshots and this statement in the doc file:
"This was tested on a MacPro Running Mojave, and Wineskin and the PC version of PzC."

Hi all !
My question is simple, I know that here was posted a version of Panzer corps which was able to handle with up to 256 EDITOR zones. I've looked for them, found links but it seems that these links are broken. So, where could I find that version if it actually exists ? If not is creating EDITOR zones a very tough work and how to do it ?
Thanks you very much !

Here is the relevant post, the the last download link is working for me (repeated below as well):

You would need access to the original source code of PzC to be able to change the number of AI zones... and I guess the code is proprietary...
