please don't give the AH barbed wire tech with the event ( just got it in my new game vs Nehi), it's too much of an advantage and it makes no sense to have the Austrians ahead of the Germans and everyone else in trench technology!
actually, the AH in Galicia are too strong: you will lose Tarnopol, but minimally competent play will let you keep Lemberg and Prezmzyl. In fact, the AH doesn't really sweat enough.
i would recommend change one AH infantry in Galicia for a reserve corps, and giving the Russians enough ammo to fire two artillery shots in a row.
I don't know what the AH defense plans ebvent does, but it should just prevent a Hoetzendorf attack, which should happen automatically on first turn of the Russian attack otherwise.
from both my games vs Nehi and argtum, I think the Russians are globally too weak now. Nehi took Warsaw on his first turn against the Russians and gained a lot of ground north of Galicia (while ceding some in Galicia), and I pulverized argentum's northern half of the Russian front and I'm just making crazy progress unopposed. (I'll send a printscreen next time). in both cases there were no particular Russian mistakes; there was not much that could have been done to prevent it.
I'm thinking entrenchment around Warsaw and maybe two additional reserve corps in the area could do the trick.
I still think that both sides in Alsace-Lorraine should have entrenchment level 8 at start.
poland is very vulnerable, no doubt, 5/10 garrisons are kinda trojan horse
about that barbed wire, i was maybe wrong, carpathians can do that magic instead, tarnopol is doomed, but in mountains austrian can buy some time needed, but holding lemberg is not enough, austrians need any pp
on other hand, it costs cp event in crucial first turns, they can miss some else cause of picking this
takin warsaw was just a routine, ai is moving corps to same spot as u
what was situation there historically? in scww1 it looked similar as robotrons set up, but in scww1 there is crippled moving, so u cant dance inbetween enemy units so easily
but i wonder how u could smash russian right wing
