Exporting equipment.pzdat through the Editor creates a new units.csv in the Data folder.
Remember to make copies in case you make a mistake.

I must be missing something here, edited the equipment file, exported it to the unit file, attempting to add arty support to some unit traits.
the units.csv has the arty support now on the unit line, but go in game and deploy the unit? nope.

A change in the units file does not take place until the next scenario.
Load the last turn of a finished scenario, Click continue to go to the next scenario and the changes should appear.

It depends on what you mean by 'add units'.
If one reuses a model from an existing unit, yes you can add new units.
But adding a new model requires 'UnrealEngine Editor' and no info from the Devs on how to do that has been released.

So yes, one can make French Paratroopers from US Paratroopers, it's no big deal.

Add a M1 Tank, not do able yet.

Thank your for the link.
I try to add for example Panzer III Ausf. A to see if i can use them in late 1936 or early 1937. so i try the copy paste way in the other topic.

Re: Add new units to the Editor

I have been asked how to add new units to the editor for scenarios placement.

I do not know but my best guess is that you must modify the 'equipment.pzeqp' file.
The equip file can be loaded in the editor and units.csv is an output of the editor.
If I am wrong I will be soon corrected.

So I would load the modified equipment.pzeqp into the Editor and export units.csv to the game.
The new units should now show up.

I have finally tried it, but it seems to not work, but it wouldn't even export the new units.csv file so i have to manually add them to the unitl.csv file. but they doesn't appear in the editor. I don't know if made something wrong, or if we need to wait for the modding tools to be finished

That implies that there is an error in your equipment file.
If you notice in the image I posted has a note on [re]Loading the equipment file, if it shows 'FAIL' things won't work.

No, actually it loads the file succesfully, the problem is that when i hit import it does nothing. But if you add the unit manually to the units file and equipment file it will load on the editor, i had to restart the scenario for it to load.

How do I set a unit as auxiliary or permit disbanding it/remove its slot and prestige cost without modifying the list? If I select a unit with Configure Units panel, there is a checkmark for "auxiliary", but if I set it and press apply, it reverts back.
Edit: you have to click twice to place a checkmark. One click only placed a dot that doesn't do anything.

This is also true for other things in the Editor, you have to click a second time to validate.

Can't figure how the objectives work in the editor. I want 9/17 captured hexes by the end of the final turn.
I choose
>Capture victory hexes
>Mark all the hexes (17)
>Count: 9
>Check only at the end of scenario
And it's not working. How do I do it correctly?

Hi guys

I'm a bit confused here about the files to edit. My goal is to create a couple of german infantry units, basically SS Infantry that would have +1 attack and +1 initiative, used to be quite easy to do in the original pz corps, only the equipment file to edit. I want those units to be used through the scenario editor only, I do not want to have those units in the actual campaign, so which file should I edit, the unit file or the equipment file in the editor data folder ?

Insert extra units in the units file. Give them nopurchase trait.
