Can you explain why that has been decided? For my part I think that's a short-sighted decision and a real shame.
However I agree that your IP has a right to protection and I would not suggest anyone posted such a download without approval.
I just can't see that a QRS is really any threat to the main body of the rules. IIRC all the old WRG rules and many others as well had QRS. Is it only the DBx family of rules that didn't provide them?

I also wouldn't suggest that anyone violate the law by infringing on IP rights, but I also agree that this is a very short sighted decision. I could understand not releasing the sheet for download before publication, but afterwards, such a sheet would be a valuable tool for new players. I can't imagine it would cost the publishers sales - you would still need the book to fully comprehend the rules, and who wouldn't want the artwork anyway. Besides, many of the new players may indeed be people completely new to historical miniature gaming - who wouldn't want to make their initial gaming experience as smooth as possible. In my mind, it would seem that the easier the game is to get into for newcomers, the more players (and purchasers) there will be that come on board.davem wrote:Iain, iainmcneil wrote:We have no plans to relese a download sheet and we would not expect to see anyone else breaking the law by uploading one.

If they are not prepared to do a QRS they will hardly be interested in a quick play set downloadable in pdf.nikgaukroger wrote:How do you come to that conclusion?mannmarke wrote:Well that’s a pity and also signals what the attitude will be to a quick play set to I take it.
Interesting. I'll wait and see what the book looks like - maybe not so much of a potential issue then.nikgaukroger wrote:I've actually found that the rule book is such a handy size that using the QRFs in the back without taking them out is just fine - not sure I'll bother with having separate ones.
Having had another look at the book the reference sheets are all at the back of the book and the book will lie flat on the table if needed. Bearing in mind that most of the reference sheet info is easily learnt it may well be not an issue. That said I am sure some people will make them.kustenjaeger wrote:Greetings
