OK, I have heard from the Allied Commander that Guardsman will be commanding in that battle.

I think the best way to describe our operations to date is that they have violated every recognized principle of war.

Gents,

Just a quick note on a noted glitch.

In Medjez El Bab and Ville Bargou, for some reason, the VP location labels (and point costs) disappear from the screen during the Axis Deployment Phase only. Afterwards, they appear normally. Despite having the best modding minds available (..namely Cavehobbit and Myself 8) ) examining it, we can find no reason whatsover for this to occur. It has absolutely no effect on gameplay.

Just wanted to make everyone aware of this.

Excellent. So by my count, we have three of the four battles going. JCB and John Puryear, have you begun Djebel Rihane yet?

By the way, a quick report on some fixed issues and tweaks since the last battle:

The M3 Scout Car Load issue, various units not being pushable, etc, have all been fixed.

Leader morale has been reduced to 75. Leaders are a small staff of 3-4 men. Lightly armed, and essentially functioning as a roving Rally Bonus (and maybe an Arty spotter). Bear in Mind that the 8 man infantry units, for example, are platoons of approximately 44 men. However, status of leaders being one man units make them extremely difficult to kill in the BA engine. The reduction in morale was to dissuade them for being used for what may on both sides (myself included) had at times. An Achilles-like heroic crusader who swoops in and makes low morale units surrender through adjacent fire. 8)

Agree with your approach on the leader. Sometimes they are ridiculously hard to kill.

Yeah, agree as well, the leaders are die-hard-ers.

Displaying my persistent penchant for imperfection, I failed to motorize 1 Para BN at Medjez El Bab (10 GB Trucks absent). At KingT's request (and given that our pace has been lightning-fast) the decision was made to restart. The corrected URL for this day is:

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/619 ... 24NOVC.LST

Anyone who wishes to play Medjez El Bab, I suggest you use this version.

When this day is completed, I will edit the original Campaign and mount the URL in the original Battle post. There is no effect on any other scenarios.

Apart from this case, I haven't noted any other problems - all works perfectly :!:

Medjez El Bab (nicknamed by the British "Medjez El Blood" from this point forward) Final Results:

KG 190 Pz dissolves BG KingT in a very bloody battle. At the end of Turn 3, all Flags were in Axis hands.

After casualties are applied, the Allies will lose 30% (rounded up) of each unit type as casualties. The remainder are returned to the Allied unit pool. 1 Para BN and 56 Recce BN are returned to the Algeria Box. Navaronegun notches a second victory in his belt on the way to elite status for his leader. KingT's leader dies in the battle, and his journey begins anew. :)

Casualties:

Some notes on the Casualty list, as some of the picture icons are vague:

The Kradschutzen Unit which survived is the Krad MG34 Unit.
2 250s and 1 251 were casualties.

I'll leave the point tallying to the new Campaign Auditor, KingT. Thanks KingT! 8)
