German Beta available

Ich hab die Installation in nem extra Ordner "C:\ProgramFiles\Beta\Slitherine\Panzer Corps German Beta" und auch die zweite .exe aufm Desktop. Aber nach dem Lauchner mit der Auflösungseinstelleung schaltet der auf den englischen Startbildschirm. Den deutschen Bildschirm des Hauptmenüs hab ich noch nicht gesehen. Ich hab allerdings auch mit dieser .exe dann Zugriff auf meine gespeicherten Spielstände aus der Originalversion zur Verfügung. Müsste er nicht in den eigenen Dateien dafür auch nen eigenen Ordner anlegen?

This installation runs in another folder: "C:\ProgramFiles\Beta\Slitherine\Panzer Corps German Beta" and i've got too the second .exe on my desktop. But behind the launcher it only runs in the english Version. I've never seen the german startmenue. With these .exe i can also run my savegames from the originally game. Should the game build an own folder in my "own datasets"?

Also dass Du die saves in beiden Versionen zur Verfügung hast das ist normal. Beide greifen auf das gleiche Verzeichniss zu und die saves sind zwischen den beiden Versionen kompatibel. Allerdings ist es merkwürdig dass Du bei beinden Versionen das englishe Menü siehst. Bist Du Dir sicher dass wirklich die deutsche Beta installierst hast? Es gab nämlich vor dem offziellem Release von dem Patch 1.01 eine englishe Beta die aber fälschlicherweise den Icon auf dem Desktop "Panzer Corpse German" nannte. Versuch einfach mal die vermeintlich deutsche Version zu deinstallieren und downloade nochmal den installer der im ersten Post in diesem Thread gelinkt ist und installiere es dann neu. Hoffentlich hilft das. Poste auf jeden Fall nochmal hier ob es geholfen hat und falls nicht versuchen wir einfach weiter. Es muss irgendwie gehen.

The availability of the save files in both versions is fine. Both versions uses the same directory to save the games and they are compatible to both versions. It is strange tho that you get the english menu in both versions of the game. Are you really sure you have the german beta installed? Before the official release of patch 1.01 there was an english Beta which created a wrongly named icon on the desktop called "Panzer Corpse German". Try to deinstall the supposedly german version a, re-download the installer linked in the first post of this thread and reinstall it then. Hopefully this fixes the problem. Post in any case if it worked and if not we keep trying to solve the Problem somehow. It must work somehow.

Danke erstmal. Ich hab den DL-Link aus der Mail genommen mit dem Registriercode genommen. Sobald ich zuhause bin probier ich den Link aus dem Forum und berichte dann weiter.

Ja die Version läuft jetzt auch bei mir ! Gute Arbeit - ich mag den Sprecher - gute Stimme. I wünschte er spricht auch meine Afrika Korps Kampagne, kann meine eigene nicht mehr hören.

Yes - the version runs fine ! Good work - I like the voice - I wished he can speak also my Africa Corps Campaign, can't hear my own !

Take a look at "Panzer Corps : Scenario Design" section of this forum.
You'll find HBalck campaign and other campaigns and mods.

Hi guys

an updated German Beta version is now available for testing. See the top post. All reported bugs have been fixed and we don;t think there are any oustanding issues to resolve. You can now switch between English & German on the main menu by selecting the appropriate flag.

We're planning to put this in to manufacture this week so any quick feedback is appreciated!

Great idea to allow people to switch between languages.

Will this become the standard version (English+German) or a separate version that will get its own patches?

Had time to take a look at the German version and yeah, it's looking not good but great!

Very good speaker, audio quality and translation. I'm glad that the translator went with Panzer instead of PzKpfW.

Edit: just saw something I never noticed before in both the English and the German version.

It's always

43 Wehrmacht Inf
43 Grenadier
43 Fallschirmjäger
but
Pioniere 43

for both language versions.

Yeah, nitpicking!

But that's probably the only thing I can contribute to the beta right now, can't play much in the next days and its damn close to release already.

Great to hear - we're in the process of mastering German now so hopefully no serious errors are found as we're running out of time to fix them.

I listened to the campaign briefings and read all unit descriptions (1945 Germany scenario) and found no errors.

The only thing I noticed is the really minor issue (if it is an issue at all) I mentioned above, I noticed it also extends to British and American Infantry, sometimes it's 43 NAME and sometimes NAME 43.

Panzer Corps has a translation way above the usual level of the computer games industry and I am sure players and reviewers will recognize this. Thumbs up!

(Especially those who experienced the latest French and German Lord of the Rings Online localizations.)
