What are the other players experiences so far?
I only played 3-4 scenarios so far, but at first I was wondering why all my imported units have 5 stars. Most of my units have also reached all achievments, so I am already missing an important part in the game: leveling up my units and make them stronger. Maybe thats a reason to make the campaigns shorter, talking about the amount of maps.
It starts to feel repetitive if you have nothing else to do than play the maps.
That's a tendency easy to fall as the game does on, especially in such a long campaign environment. The more experienced units you gather, the more you feel like relying on them entirely, the more rely on them, the better they get and the gap between them and the new or less often used units widens, making it even better to use the experienced ones again. At one point the cycle gets so vicious it's hard to justify new additions to the core. But that's not really the game's fault, it's the same syndrome that RPGs have with players having dozens of potions and scrolls in their inventory for use in "an emergency" and never getting to that emergency state. I try to keep things fresh by mixing things and adding units into the cores, even if just for collective purposes. I started my runs with the same mentality and at that point I don't really feel the benefit of changing it, but as I tried new challenges and rules, I expanded the core force several times in those and it feels really refreshing this way.
Also, the devs are aware of this in a way already - this is what the training scenarios are after all, to help negate some of that experience gap and allow to add new units that can then gain the medals and not suffer the experience difference that makes them hard to use.
