BNC , not trying to sound commanding, but you should really make some new custom units for the WW1 campaign. I'm sure lots of talented people can make entire armies for you if you ask nicely (or send the Stormtroopers :D)

The new icons are in progress. I've heard the tanks are all completed, but haven't yet added them (they WILL be added by the 15th). It is unlikely that any more units would be added from scratch (save the Gotha GV - I'm considering that one) considering how soon it is until release, plus we already have about 15 German Infantry units (base PzC has that many!) and I can't see the need for massive rosters of any other types.

For now I am finishing the scenarios (Poland's conquesting in Total War has been put on hold), and finally have got Mons18 into a screenshot-worthy state (after endless crashes because of debuggers and other rubbish).

Mons - the main part of this scenario (well, no Brussels is - but it the scenario is named after Mons) is about to fall! It isn't helped that the morale of the defenders is in a fast-decaying state. (10 days before the end of the war was pretty much a run back to Germany for the German Army - they had had enough!)

Charleroi - that annoying city (can't remember if objective) from the Schlieffen Plan is also under attack. Same problem with morale, but this city is half occupied (at least by a flag - most units aren't down yet!)

And the Strategic Map - look at this wonderous scenario that will ruin so many gamers' days! 11 Turns isn't much for a defensive scenario but when you are fighting 150-250 enemies, every hex still counts. And your airforce is now screwed - the enemy field more planes than you are likely to have left, after the disasters created at Arras18.

Reply to my 400th post, and those stormtroops will be given leave so that you can download the mod in peace!

Sadly (for you peple), no one has replied to that post I made yesterday, so the stormtroops are still in active service at this stage.

Mons18 has been set up (and partially tested - I'm 4/11 turns through). The morale effect has been removed (I was going to make a more-severe-than-Arras-18 version in this) due to the scenario being near-impossible to win!

Some screens:

A world favourite unit horde! Bigger than Jutland, Cambrai and Arras18! Total of 208 units in it (the whole map), so be prepared to be steamrolled more than once!

A final version of the strategic map, where you can see all the units. Nearly every unit that has a grey plate will die, and most green-plate units will live on! (You own the grey-platers!) Yes, the force mix is approx 200 vs 70+[up to 31 unit]core - or instant death!

Brussels, worth 3/4 of your objectives, isn't defended very well, so keep those Allies south of the Dyle and outside your western forts!

40 votes on the poll... Impressive. Hoping for 50~60 to have a better idea of what the public wants.

Mons18 has been fully tested, and yes, it is possible to get a DV IF YOU HAVE A DECENTLY EXPERIENCED CORE! battered wrecks won't last five seconds against the allied onsluaght.

I do have proof that it's possible:

A bare DV - would have lost had the country not surrendered on the 11th. Death of Brussels [and me] would be the 14th, and they were already getting into Waterloo.

More posts needed - I want to have more posts here than on McGuba's Battlefield:Europe forum, considering this was started a month and a half before.

Ok, I will make sure to train 175 divisions of stormtroopers to get all you people!

More importantly, the final scenarios have been completed (save German Revolution's testing)!

German Revolution is an incredibly unpredictable final level - 75% of the enemy has got random deployment things set up - you will never know where they will appear. It is still a capture/hold objectives scenario however.

Checklist is quite short now:

 Test Ger. Rev.
 Briefings
 Campaign Structure
 New unit graphics
 Not to get carried away on Empire Total War until the 16th!

- BNC (someone post or I will make it 275 divisions of stormtroops)

I'm surprised that there's a core left to fight the revolution

I haven't joined the campaign together yet, so that "core" is just some random units so I can test the scenario without playing a whole campaign.

Normally though, there would be little left in you.

Finished testing the revolution. It was a DV on turn 15, but that was with decently living core. Still had to sell the airforce for 2k prestige however.

I don't have much to talk about at the moment - the campaign is just short of being complete.

However:

I need someone to set up the campaign path file and stuff (especially choice events!) and am looking for volunteers.

Aircraft icons made by guille and other members of his "team" will not be featured in March 15's release version, rather in the v1.1 pathc which will happen later this year.

Marne and Paris 14 briefing complete. This time High Command won't be as harsh with you! (I'm not making promises about the Eastern Front though)

They are only nicer because you aren't as close to the German border, so you won't get invaded and prove a disgrace to the country!

I've read the one from Poland 15 - the commanders (General Hindenburg!) will get very angry if you fail there!

That's a pity but it happens :)
I'm following the development of your campaign with great interest and anticipation. I'll glady play the live version after the 27th. Thanks for your continued efforts to create great additional content to the game :)
