Armies met on a rather open battlefield. Nubian cav and light cav did an excellent job, but Nubian bowmen and below average spearmen were no match against my warband and collapsed quickly.

The First Carnatic Crusade came to a bloody end in the boulder-strewn plains of the Deccan. It was a near-run thing, with the initial charge of the Swiss bringing the Vijayanagara army close to its breaking point. Local folk art for generations afterwards featured a horrific porcupine demon, with men, horses and even elephants impaled on its pike-like spines.

Stones1985 (Arab Conquest) beat Bagatrix1805 (German with French Allies) by a score of 45 to 17.

A tough set of terrain maps for my opponent. The first mountainous one was rejected and the second with lots of woods and steep hills was very tricky for his army that lacked terrain troops. My army doesn't have lots of mediums and lights but crucially had more than his including two units of Veteran Dailami who excelled themselves. Thanks for the game.

The Samnites brought lots of superior types and few filler troops and advanced on the Punics who anchored their left on some woods which were filled with various mediums. These were able to sweep around the Samnite right to win the day. Good game!

Close hard fought game The arabs pushed around their left with the Germans pushing hard across the Arab centre right. Eventually it became a race on who would win their strongest area of the field first, the arabs (fortunately) nosed ahead!
