I think you're a bit over the top about the hot Canadian guys )Especially Trump is already proposing to buy their territory and annex it to the U.S. like Greenland ) I'm wondering how officially a country can be bought I'm not talking about corruption of local elites who will get the profit for each citizen of the country ?)))
I was particularly amused by their dual reputations. Their assault troops were notorious for being especially fierce during World War II, which is a stark contrast to the reputation they have today. Beware of people who seem too nice.

About the missions at sea and battles for the islands it's just like films in my Soviet childhood )))) I like your idea of scenarios and their realisation )
I'm glad this scenario is working well! Indeed, it feels cinematic. Ultimately, commandos are people who do James Bond-like things in real life. And, as with any war movie, we end with a big battle! I've revisited and slightly improved my sequence of special forces infiltration with the hostages, it was basically the same concept, but a little bit improved.

And if you're such a master at making maps with seas and islands maybe you could make a fun mission like fighting piracy off the coast of Somalia with an international contingent ? )
I fully intend to create a naval campaign with varied missions and increasing difficulty; the first ones would be in contexts below the threshold of war, such as anti-piracy missions, for example. For now, I am facing two obstacles for this project:
- Unlike Tobi, I haven't found out how to create a campaign for modern conflicts; and this naval campaign would only work by retaining its fleet from one mission to the next. Akkula suggested that there will likely be a way to launch custom campaigns in the next mod update, so this obstacle should eventually be resolved;
- I don't yet know how to create units, and there are no pirate factions in the mod. This will be a bit harder to address. I'm not a big fan of using placeholders unless they are very close to what I want to depict (like the ISIS army to represent rebels and jihadists in the first european pack); but nothing in the mod comes close to pirates. I might have figure out how to create a unit
- bonus obstacle : like everyone else, time

I have many idea, but not the time to do everything I want.
Now, I need to hurry up a bit for the release of the first Russian pack.
