Infantry in limited stock option

Post by GUNDOBALDO08 »

Since it was introduced I play only with the limited stock option activated, but I have many problems at the beginning of the campaign (AO39 and AO40 above all) because the limited availability of infantry categories combined with only 15 replacements per scenario makes it very difficult to use the infantry... also this issue would make sense in 1944/1945 when German HR they were in short supply, not at the start of the war. The solution could be to introduce other infantry categories from 1939, such as Leichte infanterie, as in some mods, or even jager or brandeburger or more…

Evidently the only fix is to tweak the limited stock size slider in order to provide a "realistic" number of units (Leichte, brandenburger, etc. ) could be simulated this way .. good luck

Size slider is the same for all units. For tanks, artillery, aviation 15 is correct, if you increase the stock it loses its meaning. then you should split the size slider between infantry and everything else.

i think i saw a mod on steam called "extra infantrie stock" or something like that enhancing inf in limited stock.
i never used it so cannot say if this works correctly.

edit: it´s called "more stock" and claims to solve ur issue.

There are a lot of good ideas in this forum but there is zero feedback or reaction to anything. I dont expect any quality changes anytime soon.

Best thing you can do is adjust your playstyle. You should never lose that many infantry in 1939. You need better protection by artillerie or antitanks, keep your infantry behind your tanks. You arealy should have some heroes in your stock that prevent your infantry from taking losses.

At some point it may be nice to have these other options too ( infantry size options ) along with everything else we currently have it may be nice in addition to be able to change the core size of the units even though a cheat allows this ..
