Division A

CyberHetman Bohemian Catholic 1450+Hungarian
defeated
Kroche (Berber (Wattanid) 1466-1500AD)

61:56

A battle that can be divided into 2 parts. The first where I was able to gain the upper hand on my left wing and withdraw the weak right wing. And when it was close to victory the over-commitment of my troops resulted in several flank attacks and a devastating camel raid. My troops grew weaker with each turn but the early advantage allowed me to prove a minimal victory. Very nearly it was Kroche who gave here a description of the battle certainly more interesting than mine.

Div A

Carpenkm* Kingdom of Soissons (461 - 486 ACE) with Germanic foot tribes allies beat Zawzgrzyt Bosporan 11-375 w/ Roman
46 - 21
One of those battles that end suddenly and unexpectedly. No rallies for my opponent in the last turn. Well played. The sub roman foot was unusually good this time!

Congratulations to Division A for being finished and to Eric for winning a very close and competitive division. Any one of the top six players could have won it. This was the closest and most competitive division A I have been part of.

Sorry not posted here but recorded.

Div A

Triarius German defeats Kroche Berber (Wattanid) 64-58

An incredibly close game where very cluttered terrain bristling with Achers and X-bows made it hard for the Muslim spears (supported by LC and LF) to get to grips with the few Keils and Men at Arms before being too shot up. This really could have gone either way and was something of a class in chaos. Great game to finish with many thanks to Kroche.

Stew101 (Achaemenid Persians, with Greek allies)

defeated

klayeckles (Indo greek with Kushan allies)

Score 68 - 59.

What a game, hardly a unit in either army not completely spent.

A battlefield with plenty of rough ground led to both sides defending on their left flanks and attacking on their rights.
The Persian left held on, defending in successively smaller lines, whilst the Indians were slowly turned off their hill.

I could not watch the end of my last turn, letting the AI control it, as I was on 59% and 5% behind, with a fragged LI in combat against fragged medium opponents (who were also outflanked by a 2nd Persian MI unit).
Well a miracle happened the LI survived two turns of combat, whilst in the Indian turn 4 Indian units auto-broke. Not often you have to auto-break pike blocks to win a game.

Great game, thanks Klay.
you forgot to add that the game ended on turn 0.00! Thought i had you for sure...or at least tie. GG!

Two tough battles luckily won. Could easily have gone other way:

Zawzgrzyt Bosporan defeats Aetius39 Byzantine 60-41
Zawzgrzyt Bosporan defeats Stones1985 Palmyran 61-48

Thanks to my opponents.

No it hasn't; I did searches for each of the matches prior to posting.

If you have the results still in your game list, you can report them.

Due to a mistake on my part on entering the scores for one match, I'm reposting the current standings for division A with that corrected.

Unfortunately, rpadilla1988 has three challenges from edb1815, Lunecastle and Morat where it has been at least two weeks with no responses. Also, rpadilla1988 has not responded to PMs from me. As a result, under TDC rules the following games in Division B are now completed.

edb1815 defeats rpadilla1988 40-15 by forfeit

Lunecastle defeats rpadilla1988 40-15 by forfeit

Morat defeats rpadilla1988 40-15 by forfeit

Division D

Kerait (Germanic Foot Tribes 105 BC-259 AD) defeats Hari72 (Achaemenid Persian 547 BC) 42-16

On a generally open plain, the massed Persian sparabara was hard-pressed against the German heavies. There was a looming peril in the Persian horse threatening to flank the Germans, but they simply couldn't get involved in the action before the melee had been settled.

It was reported in Classical challenges!  :)

Div B

Holien (Seleucid 166-125 BC with Jewish 163-111 BC allies) Defeated Frederic02 (Macedonian 328-321BC) 42% to 11%

à cheval donné on ne regarde pas les dents

So the map was divided down the middle to the Mid point on the right flank with a 200 height hill / plateau which favoured the Macedonian force as they would reach the summit first. Expecting to have to fight up hill the Seleucid force focused on the right flank only to find that the Macedonian force had focused on their right well away from the hill.

The hill was key as it allowed the Seleucid force to pivot on it and use it to secure their left flank. The Macedonian force tried to pivot around the hill but lost too many units infront of the hill and the Heavy Arty on the hill had free reign on the approaching forces.

At the end the Macedonian force was making gains on the Seleucid left but had lost too much by then....

An interesting fight against a good friendly player - Merci Beaucoup
