i will try to put it in another way , when you decide to purchase a unit you click buy and all the images of the available units appear from soldiers up to aircraft . when playing many times its not available , it goes dark and you cannot purchase any units only to appear later at random during the mission , How can i stop this from turning off so i can purchase any unit when i have sufficient prestige points . hope i explained better .

Since you're not out of prestige, this means you're out of core slots. Moving your units to reserve will free up core slots to buy new unitsHerr_Armin wrote: ↑Fri Mar 03, 2023 3:49 pm i will try to put it in another way , when you decide to purchase a unit you click buy and all the images of the available units appear from soldiers up to aircraft . when playing many times its not available , it goes dark and you cannot purchase any units only to appear later at random during the mission , How can i stop this from turning off so i can purchase any unit when i have sufficient prestige points . hope i explained better .

I think he wants to play with unlimited core slots, so that only your prestige decides wether you can buy new units.

Re: how to turn off no available units
l am playing Poland campaign and i reached Kasserine with only 500 prestige points after a grueling El Alamein fight . At Kasserine i find myself handicapped with not enough units to fight the huge number of enemy tanks during the closing stages 2 hexes with 10-15 turns left . Prestige does'nt seem to be the issue but slots is . I can only park at the beginning of the mission so the only way in mission if i need to replace say fighters with more bombers in mission is to disband then purchase .

Re: how to turn off no available units
If you don't have enough prestige, of course you can't purchase any more units. Sounds like your problem lies in game understanding and how to avoid taking heavy losses while completing your objectives, not the purchase or slots.
If you just keep losing units in each scenario and replace them with new ones, you won't be able to accumulate exp and medals on them, which would lead to even heavier losses when your enemy grows tougher in late game and finally drain your prestige to death.

Could you add some screenshots of your core and stuff? Sounds like you dont know how to put units to reserve or something like that.

The Base Campaign. Sounds like he started at Poland, failed in Africa branch at El Alamein and was diverted to Italy on the path of defeat.DefiantXYX wrote: ↑Sun Mar 05, 2023 10:07 amPoland campaingn? Re: how to turn off no available units
i started in Poland and reached the last mission being the Kasserine pass post El alamein . I believe Kasserine is the last mission . At turn 17 i have one green hex left to conquer and victory but there are at least 5 tanks ahead plus canon and infantry . With 3 steps left i have no chance . I have no stars and i dont bother with medals reason being the units with 4-5 stars got wiped out along the way . Is it that important that i conserve the units with stars and how do heroe's , medals or awards influence strength and performance ? i am playing at the second level of difficulty . Maybe thats my handicap .

No offense, but it seemsthat you do not understand the game at all.
"Stars", awards and especially heroes are the most important stuff in this game. If you play with a green army all the time and you even dont know how to combine the different parts of your army you will always fail, even on easy.
You should get a look here:

You will easily learn how to play far better and if you start a new campaign it will be a whole new game experience.
