Morat (French/Normans) beat Najanaja (Byzantines) 41-13

French refused the left flank and looked to use their heavy infantry and lancers in the centre and the right to punch through the Byzantine foot/archers and cataphracts.

Byzantines held up well on the right, and their very heavy horse caused serious problems: but the French heavy foot in the centre made the difference.

edb1815 (Danish 1488-1500 w/ German Feudal ally) defeats Lunecastle (English Lancastrian 1455-1460) 61-41

Initially the Danes moved to secure their left flank on a hill to defend with missile cavalry and weaker troops whilst the pikes advanced in the center and the knights attacked on the right. Several pike blocks burst through longbowmen in the center and eliminated the English artillery. The English attacked the hill with Irish medium foot and spearmen driving off the mounted crossbowmen. Led by a unit of dismounted MAA they collapsed the flank but not before the pikes supported by knights and Scandinavian foot (XBow/Heavy Wpn) routed enough units to break the English army.

Fun game. Well played by Luncastle - GG!

My knights and crossbowmen were successful vs knights and Scandinavian foot. And once all my knights started to chase broken opponents troops, 2 landsnekht in the centre broke many of my infantries complicating my victory. Only once knights returned to the centre, I could finalise a game. Thank you for the game

The Sassanid formation caused the battle to be split in two. With the help of light archers, the Viking right was able to rout most of the elephants, cav, and infantry on that side. Meanwhile, the heavy foot on the left held firm against the onslaught and difficulties with terrain.

The outcome was decided mostly by archers and medium infantry on the German right where German troops took better advantage of hilly rough terrain. After they lost one flank, it was only a matter of time before the English folded.
