Photos Will not Display - Popups or End Game

Post by wbp3517 »

Picking back up an old custom scenario I'd started a while back (+2 years probably)

For some reason no non-stock photos will display for any defined pop ups for defined pop ups. . . These were working previously. If I disable mission profiles to enable stock (Major Victory) photos and messages these work.

Has an updated been affected that changes how this works? Resolution size or naming conventions?

Not that big of deal but it is frustrating.

Disregard. After spending all morning trying to figure out what was wrong as soon as wrote this post I recalled you could not launch from Editor. . . .

Did a normal in game launch and everything works perfectly (well at least the photos!).

Funny how your mind works. . .

If you are talking about the test run mode included in the scenario editor, custom images never appear in that mode for a technical reason. You need to run the scenario normally to see them.

If it's not that, make sure the images are in PNG format and preferably at or around 512 x 415 pixels in size. And of course, make sure that the images are in the scenario folder to begin with, and that the image file name in the popup event trigger matches the actual file name exactly, including spaces and/or underscores.

Because, no, I am not aware of any changes in the latest patch (9.2.5) that changed any of these conventions. The images in my custom works are functioning as described.

EDIT: I was just posting this when your "Disregard" came through. I will leave it here anyway for information for others in this situation. The question pops up periodically.
