Beginner's question on cohesion test for unit with CiC

Post by Gunja »

Hi there,

I am a pretty unexperienced player, but recently I started to play more often. In my last two battles I noticed something odd and would like to know, if maybe I am missing something.
In both cases it seemed that the unit with my command in chief was especially prone to loosing the cohesion test. In the last battle for example it made the first test because a unit in front of it broke and lost. And then (maybe a round later) a second unit broke and the general's unit lost its second cohesion test.
From how I understand the mechanics there were no negative modifiers at work in the first cohesion test (not disordered, the didn't loose any men etc.) and only one in the second (-1 from being disrupted), right? Furthermore as a superior unit there should be a higher chance to pass the cohesion test, since 1s are being rerolled.
It was probably only bad luck, but I decided to ask anyway if there was something I missed (some modifier maybe for a CiC-unit not in combat), since almost the same thing happened to me yesterday.
Thanks for any advice.

Bad luck. Turn on the Combat Log to see details about cohesion checks.
