The sea mines are hard to reveal, you have to be cloose to see them. I lost one of the two demining boats because of the enemy coast batteries, it became impossible mission with only one boat :(
Should we first neutralize the enemy coast batteries before we clear the water ?

Nice. Buy hey, get some "bomber" commander into an US "FlyingFortress" thingy and you'll get that achievement in no time... :D
I have two US bombers with commanders but I’m already in the last scenario of this DLC :

I have played it a couple of times and can't find the last mine. I guess it must be in the "open sea" because I have looked everywhere in the river delta.

Tip : sea mines are randomly placed according to three schemes. The first sea mine is revealed then the second is placed not too far from the first, one after the other (it's like in the tale Le Petit Poucet).

That makes sense, I found it eventually in an area I thought cleared. Most of my ships had cleared the mine area so when the next one spawned no one "found" it. Thanks for the info.

I've just finished playing through. I must be getting too old to be competent ... I found a lot of the scenarios really tough to meet the victory conditions --- D-Day comes to mind. I did like the layout for D-Day, but thought the appearance of panzers in the middle of my troops a little disconcerting.

One thing that constantly amazes me is how poor overall U.S. aircraft are. The British Typhoon is a real tank-buster. I just finished an account, though, of the airborne operations at D-Day and time and again the Thunderbolt is cited as a tank-buster, which is certainly not going to happen with the game. I also find the "secret weapons of the Luftwaffe" type appearance of multiple experimental aircraft to be unrealistic.

The final battle (if you choose the Race to Berlin option) is good, but I find the objectives really hard to find -- usually you can look on the victory conditions to get a nice red arrow pointing to primary and secondary goals, but not here.

Too bad it's all apparently coming to an end here, but I have thoroughly enjoyed this series.
Just finished D-Day. Major Victory. on Normal. I only bought Statigic Bombers for all 3 Forces. There are enough Fighters to get the objective. After I joined the beaches, I put most units on east objective and sent the majority of Ships to the North objective.

Secure the Area around Ohmaha I put my Construction Group there. Then I added units when i was able. To get the cut off objective. keep enough ships to hug the shrore line. 2 of the bigg battle ships and all the rest coast huggers.

Pound the north with Bombs and Ships. I had it in 25 but dragged it out to the end.

An Air Ace Gold emerged in the last mission Race to Berlin :

PS: William Vale was credited with 30 enemy aircraft shot down, shared in the destruction of three others, and claimed 6 damaged and another two shared damaged during WWII.

Your're right, those late-war Brit. heavy strat. bombers are incredible, too.

What I meant were "tac. bomber" commanders, those with bonuses/boosts for infantry or mech. attack...
As you know, experience is gained through damage done to enemy units... :)

You can see on the screenshots that the American bombers suffered a lot of losses due to the German fighter equipped with the latest models of fighters (jet planes in particular). Repair is expensive especially for elite repair on these heavy bombers.
