Adrianople - Multiplayer mirrored game - Bug
Another player and I (I offered an open challenge) have just given up on a mirrored battle of Adrianople. Even after three turns neither of us was able to move any of the Roman units. I know they were supposed to be surprised, and that fresh orders had to be issued, but just standing there while the Goths slaughter them makes no sense. I am sure it must be a bug.

It is not a bug. The Romans start moving on their 4th turn.JacobusRobertus wrote: ↑Wed Feb 01, 2023 6:33 pm Another player and I (I offered an open challenge) have just given up on a mirrored battle of Adrianople. So they do - but to have them stand, unresponsive, when attacked makes the whole scenario pointless. Local commanders would surely not just stand there while slaughtered - indeed wasn't the impetuosity of those local commanders what caused the Romans to get into such a mess in the first place? Moreover, I wold point out, in regular scenarios troops are able to respond to new intelligence that they themselves would not have known in the next turn.
What, may I ask, was your purpose in creating the scenario?
Anyway, as this is my first communication with you I just wanted to say that I only came to FoG2 as a player a few months ago and that I am very much enjoying it. Thanks you.

Replicating as far as possible the circumstances of the historical battle.JacobusRobertus wrote: ↑Sat Feb 11, 2023 9:13 am What, may I ask, was your purpose in creating the scenario?
You will notice that the scenario does not use the standard victory conditions. The Roman player isn't supposed to actually win the battle, but make the Goths pay as highly as possible for their victory.
If the Romans could respond quicker, the scenario would not properly represent the devastating effect of the surprise Ostrogothic attack.
