Re: TDC III - Imperial - Challenges
This seems to be wrong.
https://www.slitherine.com/forum/viewto ... 09#p990109 lists Najanaja with Ancient British + Roman 24BC-196.
Probably because Ptolemaic 55-30 BC is an illegal army in the Imperial section.
There are three kinds of people, those who can count and those who can't.

Re: TDC III - Classical 700 - 25 BC. Posting entries and army choices - Full, reserve positions available.
I'm sorry totally new player to the TDC and I have read the rules but it is still not 100% clear to me about challenges. I know how to do a challenge just not sure who I am to challenge and how many times I am to do it. Am I just to play one game, doesn't matter who issued the challenge, against each other person in my division? Or is there more to it?
Thank.
Thank.

Right, I've corrected the text listing to match what he was assigned by the imperial coordinator.Swuul wrote: ↑Sat Jan 07, 2023 10:46 amThis seems to be wrong.

Re: TDC III - Classical 700 - 25 BC. Posting entries and army choices - Full, reserve positions available.
Correct. Here's my process for creating challenges; apologies if you already know most or all of this information:TheBug67 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 07, 2023 1:50 pm I'm sorry totally new player to the TDC and I have read the rules but it is still not 100% clear to me about challenges. Am I just to play one game, doesn't matter who issued the challenge, against each other person in my division? Or is there more to it?
Thank.
1. Look at the list of players at the top of the challenge thread for the section you're playing in, in this case the "Classical" thread.
2. Copy and paste the list of the players in your division into a text editor (I use Notepad in Windows) and print a paper copy to keep track of your games and the results.
3. Check your PMs and the challenge thread to see if there's a challenge already from the player you plan to challenge. If there is, no need to go further, start up the game.
4. If there isn't a challenge, start up FOG2 and start creating the game in the Multiplayer (MP) lobby.
5. Do NOT check off the "Paired (Mirror) Challenge" box, these are all non-mirror games.
6. In the "Comment" box, I usually write something like, "TDC 3 Classical Div [whatever division you're in] - for [insert name of opponent]"
7. Use a simple password at least 4 characters long, I usually use the first four characters of the opponent's name; others use their own name, or "1234", etc. No need to get fancy, we're not encrypting nuclear weapon access codes here.
8. Go ahead and "Create Skirmish", using your army as "Side A" and any allies. Make sure you uncheck the "Date" and "Geographical" filters on the right side of the screen, so you see all the armies available for your opponent's "Side B" army and allies (if any).
9. Use the default "Open Battle" and click on "Large" for the force size (which will automatically select "Wide" for map size, as well as the automatic 1600 points for each side.)
10. Post the challenge in the game, then send a PM with the password to your opponent.
11. Post the challenge in the challenge thread, with the division designation at the top ("Div D") so people can quickly scan the thread for challenges in their division, you can use something like:
Div D
The Bug67 [insert your army here] challenges [insert your opponent's name and army here]
Game posted, password = [whatever password]
PM sent
12. Repeat the process for each of your opponents over the next several months, unless they've challenged you first. Pace yourself, try to keep at least two matches going at the same time so you're neither getting saturated with too many games, but not running into the problem of frantically trying to finish four games in the last week of the tournament.
Re: TDC III - Dark Ages - Challenges
Please Note that Morat in Div B is playing with Norman allies (Germans aren't an option).
This is corrected in the original post army lists
