Allied Campaign Mission Briefing Set in Future?

Post by Applepie68 »

I was just playing the first Allied Campaign and I found the mission briefing kind of odd. While most mission briefing would appear to be another officer giving you the general situation on the ground as well as the current battle plan the Allied campaign at times doesn’t feel like it? It feels like this mission briefing was almost set in the future in the second mission it mentions how the French were one of the most powerful armies in 1939, and ponders how they will perform in the face of a new form of watergate. It’s almost like a narrator of a documentary. I was just wondering what about such a shift in tone?
