Failed to launch pike and shot on windows 11

Steam launched Autorun.exe correctly,Autorun launched P&S.exe successfully,howerver it stalled there.When I opened the task manager,everthing is OK,just cannot enter the gaming screen.Had to end the process in taskmgr instead.Tried to set program compatible with windows8/windows7,nothing changed.
Found this in error.log

Have you run the game correctly before on this machine? That message occurs when there is no video card found. Can you provide your system spec.

I am having the same problem as locustmustdie. This is on a new Windows 11 laptop that I have never played P&S on. The graphics card is Intel Iris Xe (which I think is integrated, not a separate card). This is a work laptop so it's pretty limited. In the error.txt file, it says:

That isn't the right error file. (It is a UI definition file)

We need the error.log (windows explorer calls it a text document, but if you look in properties you will see it has the .log extension) from /Documents/My Games/PSCAMP

(That is assuming you are using "Pike and Shot Campaigns", and not the original "Pike and Shot" version. If you are using the original version, the error.log file would be in /Documents/My Games/PIKEANDSHOT)

The file is rewritten each time you start the program, so you need to get it immediately after the crash.

Again, that error message occurs when there is no compatible video card found on the machine. You might need to install appropriate drivers on your machine for the game to find the video card.
