7 laps NOT 3

Perhaps it was(is) artistic license, or the need to keep a player's continued interest in a PC Game's play but...
it seems to me through ongoing personal research of the topic, and an abundance of historical opinion that...
The Chariot races were 7 circuits (laps) NOT 3.

Any ideas/comments as to how many laps will occur in Ancient Arenas:Chariots??

If I remember correctly from watching it on the Slitherine Next stream choosing the number of laps is an option. After playing campaigns in the Quadriga game I thought 3 laps made for a good length for game play.

Where does the 3 laps come from? Almost every chariot racing game whether PC, boardgame or miniatures I have played was based around 3 laps. The "Circus Maximus" game published by Avalon Hill in the 1980s used 3 laps, and that made for a long game. I never looked up how long the races were historically though. Wonder how many laps they filmed in "Ben Hur"

Edit: My quick research confirms the traditional Roman race was 7 laps, the Greeks raced for 12 laps, but that was variable depending on the circuit and the event or festival. Later in the Empire the laps were reduced so more races could be held on a race day. So ultimately there should be an option to choose different length races if there isn't one in the game already.
