Custom Wizards?

Hi

Played the classic game for two decades and very tempted to buy the remake.
One question: despite having watched the material out so far and having perused the foru, I couldn't rally get whether one can create new wizards besides the custom ones.
Is it like the original where you essentially had to select the portrait of one of the custom ones, in this way taking it out of the game, and then you could change name and traits? Or can you add an entirely new one importing a profile picture (that'd be nice)? Or you are stuck just with those that are given to you?

You can customize your wizard, as per the original game.
With the latest update, it claims that one can add their own portraits.
