Maybe your suggestions will improve the rules. However, I have not found many players think they need much improvement, once they know how they work. It seems unlikely the authors are about to bring out an amended version. If they were, I would applaud your attempts to promote new ideas. I was an enthusiastic contributor during the beta stage. We are now well past that. I feel there is more to be gained by explaining to players how to use the rules to work for them rather than making amendments. As noted in my previous post, the history of amendments is often to shift problems, not solve them.
this would be a rule change with big side effects we do not want ... of course we considered it in some detail.a) Removing the restriction that an interception can't contact the charger.
e.g. would alter the outcome discussed in negative way imho.
the raw match our intent well.

What are these big (bad) side effects? How are they worse than the bad side effects of not fixing the rules?shall wrote:this would be a rule change with big side effects we do not want ... of course we considered it in some detail.a) Removing the restriction that an interception can't contact the charger.

I appreciate you are trying to help Alan, but honestly it is much better if you give us the problems and mainly let us sort out the solutions. By all means chuck ideas around but if we say bad idea - trust us it probably is.What are these big (bad) side effects? How are they worse than the bad side effects of not fixing the rules?
We are very good at making sure what is altered has the right effects overall in the game system and spotting all side effects. And on the above as you propose it would not fit the intent of the rules, nor the specific mechanics in that area and has lots of bad side effects elsewhere in the game system. WE listen very carfefully to ideas and indeed have a log of a dozen or so for the future that - with very careful handling - might contribute to vs2 one day.
You are not seeing even a fraction of the issues and implications at present, and while I could spend 2 hours writing a thesis on them I am sure it would a) wear me out and b) bore tha pants of most people on the forum.
I think Richards posting above accurately reflects the conclusion of the position.
