Question, Gavin this implies that a Player can declare an attack on all of another Players Provinces ( except any that are already defending against an Invader ) so have 3-5 invasions Posted in one Challenge ????
ie I could declare an Invasion on A Home Province and all other Provinces of One Clan.
No, Brian. I refer you to the Q and A. ie:-
Q. How many challenges may I issue?
A. One at a time.
You may only issue one challenge (for one province) at a time, and this must be resolved before you can issue another.

However, it is possible that a player may be defending a number of their provinces continuously from the same player intent on making you a retainer, or from different players.
Gavin it is a little confusing, does this mean that I can only attack One Province at a time and on the conclusion of that invasion I can then declare another challenge on another province ?
If so that means it would take me Six months of gaming time to attack, resolve and move through the Five Provinces.

You don't have to move through five provinces Brian If you win against a player twice, or take his home province he becomes your retainer, and together you can accumulate other retainers very quickly if you co-ordinate. Also, every win your retainer has counts towards your tally. And it's even possible to win in a short space of time by taking two home provinces in a row! Additionally, I'm also aware that most of our players have other tournaments and obligations, and Xmas is almost upon us. So, I don't want to over burden us.
If games are taking too long, or no clear winners are emerging I will look at the option of more than one attack at a time. What do others think?

PeterThePainter beats Doyley50 5 - 65 and claims Mogami Province.
The thing about Potluck terrain is someone gets the luck, and someone gets the pot. I certainly got the luck. If you are taking on a clan with good cavalry how about a narrow strip of clear terrain between two big forests and about 1800 extra men to hid in the forests to attack your opponent's flanks? That's what I got. The Tokugawa boys got a bit overzealous in the last turn smashing into everything they could find. Sorry Alan, I think you turned up on the wrong battlefield and remember always be afraid of Monks and Swordsmen hiding in woods.

SnuggleBunnies Challenges GDod for the Ikko Ikki main (only?) territory.
Pw snuggles
Let me know if this is somehow wrong, I'm not quite clear on how this works yet...
Brian has issued the 1st challenge for this province Snuggles. You can either re-challenge for a province that is not under attack or wait until the result of Brian's attack on me is posted. See the latest map above.

The mighty Ikko Ikki rebels have been over run and are now retainers of Oda.
Oda 9% beats Ikko Ikki 47% and claims Ikko Ikki Home Province.
A magnificent Victory for Oda Nobunga.

Gavin what happens now ?
Are the Oda allowed to challenge other Clans ?
Can the Oda order the Ikko Ikki to attack other Clans ?
If so I could post these challenges now ?
As the Ikko Ikki are Retainers of the Oda do they have a home Province now ?
Home provinces are treated differently than winning a normal province.
Home provinces remain the original clan.
As such, they are played by the original player and can challenge players (other than their new Daimyo of course) for other provinces. The provinces they now take still belong to them but count towards their new Daimyo's total.
As their new Daimyo you may suggest who they should challenge but it's up to them.
As Daimyo of the Oda, you have no current challenges. So you may now make a new challenge.

Thanks Gavin for the info.
Another question, What happens if another Clan captures your Home Province ?
Do you become their retainer and the Oda are no longer the Ikko Ikki's Daimyo ?

In a violemt encounter the Hojo beat off a challenge from the Takeda clan 54-26.
After a turn in which I suffered 17% casualties I thought that I was in trouble but happily I managed to turn a flank and my samurai, supported by effective light infantry shooting, were able to storm in and break up the enemy attack. To be fair, it is not a game that Alan knows very well so that was fortunate for me - it can be quite surprising when Warrior infantry hit cavalry in the flankand disrupt them.

Kyōnyo Shōnin, the 12th Monshu of the Jōdo Shinshū Hongan-ji is pleased to report the acquisition of the province of Date from Hojo Ujiyasu for the glory of his lord Oda Nobunaga.
In a tight sphinctor, nail-biting game the Ikko-Ikki regained footage after a disastrous mistake that saw the left of the line collapse from a devastating flank attack and managed to finish 73/54. Thanks for several heart-stopping moments Alan.
However, dissappointingly Kyōnyo Shōnin failed to influence Ashina and Mogami to change allegiance via the neighbouring province 10% chance clause.
