arbedo milan

Post by benos »

i am looking at sorting out forces for this battle (planning on doing as a scenario with freinds) however, running into the problem of the dismounted men-at-arms, who historically beat the swiss halberds, will get creamed per the lists. Would off spear be better than heavy wpn for dismounted weapons in this battle?
Cheers

Surely the dismounted MAA would only be down at impact. If they can split the Pike up they will then get more dice at evens.

arbedo was 1422, so the swiss had lots of halberdiers, the milanese dismounted their knights who used thier lances as spears to outreach the halberds. This is thought to be a reason for the increase in pike use?

Sorry, I was thinking Pike. Must study more. The Milanese, by the rules, would be better off mounted against them then.
