A bracelet of a D-Day hero found 78 years later

His nickname, Bull, but also his initials appear on the front door: WLR which means Wolverton Lee Robert. With this jewel, a part of history reappears. That of Colonel Wolverton, an American paratrooper killed on the night of June 6, 1944. When he had parachuted into Saint-Côme-du-Mont, the G.I. had been trapped in the branches of a tree and had been killed by the Germans, even before touching Norman soil.
78 years later, his bullet-pierced chain was found in a field in Saint-Côme-du-Mont, last April.
