Question:
- Is it intentional, that you i.g. wont get heros Rudel and Elsa Kloss, when playing with 'Race Against Time'?
- Or should they be offered - i personally dont think that the turn-reduction should result in lack of these special heroes?
Apparently, you can not get offered hero Rudel in the AO1942 training mission, when you play with Race Against Time.
He should be offered at turn 8 - but since there only are 3 turns, he's not offered?
(I don't know if you get offered prototype ME 262, which normally happen in turn 5).
(The same happens with hero Elsa Kloss in AO1939 - but in that mission you can use the cheat commands to get to the right turn, but i cant make that work with Rudel in A1942).
What do you think?

If i remember correct Kerensky said something that the -5 turn challenge is kinda broken in the AO series. Some mission get even easier, and i think you miss some special rewards early on (like the Neubaufahrzeug)

Thx, I guess i just have to take AO 1941 without it then.
And yes, it can be easier, in some scenarios you are missing some of the last counter attacks from the enemy.

I would suggest a houserule.
Consider every non defensive mission as 5 turns shorter. What i mean is, stop playing the last 5 turns, dont capture anything, dont kill anything and so on. thats not the perfect ssolution because the ai will act of course, but it seems to be the best way to get all rewards that are delivered in the last 5 turns by script, avoid making defensive missions easier and having the challenge of a faster pace.

Yes, I can see that. In some missions you dont get the last attacks from enemy, because the 5 turn limit.

Im trying a new playtrough without the 5 turn limit.
Was trying with the 3 challenges, Race against time, David vs. Goliath and Europe on a shoestring.
