OoB Campaign Maps

I'm trying to set up the campaign intro map for a campaign in France and Germany (US 3d Armored Division, several of you have seen and played version 0.0).
Are these kinds of maps available for Custom Campaigns? In the back of my mind, I seem to remember that they weren't accessible for user/developers such as me.

Any idea how to get to and use this map format?

It seems to me that the campaign map with the masks is only usable in a mod, the answer is in the forum in the mod Spanish civil war I think...
