Re: Final WM Tables and Ratings
Thanks! when starts TDC III?ericdoman1 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 28, 2022 11:37 pm Final Wm Table and Ratings.png
Ratings table
Overall TDC I is the ratings you received for the end of TDC I, beginning of TDC II
TDC 2 WM are the ratings specifically for games played in Western Medieval
TDC 2 Overall are the ratings for all games played in all divisions. There still may be a few changes but these ratings are the "ones" to be used for grouping players into the right divisions for Season III.
I made some final adjudications
Triarii defeated edb1815 60 - 47
Vadim84 drew with jtrillodmp 47 -34
wzfcns drew with OmegaOm 51 - 28
Division C
1st Wellsonian, 2nd UlysisGrunt and 3rd Tomoegozen
Division B
1st KRoche, 2nd Oscarius and 3rd Triarii
Division A
1st tyronec, 2nd harveylh and 3rd TaBai
Congratulations to all who took part and hopefully we'll see you in TDCIII

Well done on a tough map!Triarii wrote: ↑Wed Sep 28, 2022 11:43 pm Div A
Triarii Neapolitan 1440-1500 with Venetian 1440-1500 allies
defeats
edb1815 Bohemian Catholic 1450-1500 with Hungarian ally
40-7
A very unsubtle route 1 game where mountains left a small pass. A mass of Neapolitian light troops allowed all important slopes to be reached first and also protected dismounted knights on the left and pikes on the right from cannon, war wagon and Xb fire until getting to grips. The dismounted knights were capable of dealing with the Bohemian war wagons, especially while upslope, while pikes and kiel outclassed the spears and Xb facing them. There was also some evening up of luck for the Neapolitians to edb's cost. Both in combat results and - after the previous severe attrition of Neapolitian Generals they got through a battle without any carelessness at all. None were lost in combat - a first for this list in this tourney.

Division B
lydianed (Anglo Saxon & Viking) defeated rpadilla1988 (Byzantine 988) 47-22
The two sides formed up across a river valley and skirmished for advantage. When the melee started, the Anglo-Saxons were able to hold the Byzantine right to a standstill and made progress in the centre and the left, avoiding the Varangian Death Squads as much as possible. Good game.

Div B
Triarii German 933-1049 with Polish 966-1057 allies
defeats
lydianed Anglo Saxon 950-1016 and Viking Allies
51-18
A game decided by the fastest left-wing collapse.
Both armies deployed with a weak left-wing but the German left was protected by both a large area of rough ground and the distance the Saxons extended to their right. Even so the Saxon withdrawal of their left was going well and well executed until a single turn with two withdrawal disruptions just as the German right came within reach and just before the Saxons could close the map edge, After that the Saxon left was collapsed quickly and the centre flanked before the strong Saxon right could overlap the Germans. Tough luck on Lydianed on those crucial last withdrawals.

Div A
Dreddradish (Spanish - Sertorius) defeats carpenkm (Spartan w Roman Allies) 41 - 15
The Spartans defended a long hill. This led to a protracted skirmish battle as the Spanish worked around their right flank. This flanking maneuver stretched the Spartan line until the centre thinned out and the Spanish finally launched their assault. Mixed results saw the battle ebb and flow for a few turns before the weight of Spanish troops in the centre finally broke through, putting the Spartans to flight.

Div B
Triarii German 933-1049 with Polish 966-1057 allies
defeats
rpadilla1988 Byzantine 988 - 1041
41-16
A tough fight.
Byzantines had advantage of a central hill and Germans a central hill between woods and mountain.
Germans came down off their hill but advanced right with armoured cavalry, both mounted and dismounted, only leaving a cavalry screen on their left to approach the narrowest part of the Byzantine hill.
Byzantines came down to shoot it out and had early success out-shooting the German light screen but then infantry lines closed. Varangians in the Byzantine centre were tough and beat their opponents but too slowly, while the second Varangian unit got hung up on the German extreme left faced off by poor quality lancers. Meanwhile dismounted armoured German lancers ground through the Byzantine foot on the German right and a lucky combat win (after a crucial double dip) for German cavalry on the extreme German left put formed German cavalry units behind the engaged Byzantine right and centre. That decided the game. This was a tough game after a long period of redeployment - good game.
Thanks to rpadilla.
