At this point lord Stanley decided to throw in his lot with Henry Tudor and Northumberland gave up and went home. Black pudding and Thwaites Ale all round!
Alan,

I think you will find that the Doyley50 - lascar game finished a few weeks back. Gavin bucked the trend by being the only one to reverse history (pure coincidence he was the only one playing me!).

Thanks, Peter, I overlooked this so yes, this brings the campaign to a close. So the final recap is

Gdod (Y) beat PeterthePainter (L) 42:9
Kiwiwarlord (L) beat Warrior230 (Y) 35-7
Doyley50 (L) beat Lascar (Y) - 50-18

And so, Henry Tudor is King, the first great schism with the European continent occurs, the monasteries are dissolved and no doubt, hideous fates await Gavin, Paul and David, the Yorkist lords.

Well, I hope that everyone enjoyed the games and, as Peter mentioned, perhaps learned some more about this fascinating period of history.

It has indeed been a great event... some great twists, and it has been thoroughly enjoyable from the start.
Thank you, Alan, once again for putting this together. Your efforts have as always been thoroughly appreciated!
Great fun! Well played to everyone.

Thanks for the nice lil foray into the bowels of English lords. I like the short campaign (3 games means that it's not a long drawn out affair) and the use of historical scenario's Alan. Let's do it all again soon. Southern Italy looks nice this time of year :D

Another vote of thanks to Alan for all the effort put into arranging what was a very enjoyable tournament. Like Peter I have learned a fair bit along the way about what was,for me, a rather foggy period of English history.

Having got to grips with who was on which side and why they switched to the other side in the WOTR, I reckon I am about ready to grapple with concept of the French fighting the Spanish in Italy. Bring it on!

Thanks, everyone, for the enthusiasm. I also like the idea of an Italian Wars series. Perhaps we do this in stages, rather than trying to cover the whole period in one go.

I also quite like the format of mixing up PS and FoG-M games, as they are very different in character.

I will have to read up a bit but in the meantime all suggestions welcome!
