Do I need more Sturmpanzer in GC42

I played on Colonel to start with, and generally found it not too difficult. I played both the core campaign and Afrika Korps before starting the GC. I replayed the core campaign and AK on Field Marshall before restarting the GC. So there were 2 reasons; firstly I wanted a greater challenge, and secondly, I had learnt from my playthroughs and even more so from reading this forum that there were better ways to do things. Mostly what PanzerTum has said above, but in particular how important it is to amass prestige and not waste it, as well as building experience and gaining heroes for your units. And look after those experienced units! Treat any lost unit as a tragedy and withdraw them to safety if they are at risk of being destroyed. Like PanzerTum, I lose a lot of recon units, but these are one unit that I see as somewhat expendable. It's sometimes difficult to find the balance between being cautious enough to protect your units and aggressive enough to achieve objectives. I'm on GC43E at the moment, nearly done, but taking a break to play a few mods as I was getting EF fatigue.
