GTPG Version 2

Hello I am posting this as I have been receiving some requests on the mod that I am playing on my channel.

This was Nico's first mod for this game. It is an homage to the OG of this game. Panzer General with many new and elaborate maps to bring even more realism to such a great classic.

I could go on, but the point is to get this out there to the masses.
Von Thuringen has added his own music montage and animation tweaks and sound effects.

This is not for the squeamish. This is huge and long and quite a task to get through. I am just starting 942 in my playthrough and I have 4 long years of war left to go. I expect to finish sometime in 2023/4 maybe?

It is a lot of fun.

ps: is it really 2.0 , the last known version 1.16 or just the patch 1.16 --> 2.0 ?


EDIT: i check it and apparently , it is a patch to v2.0 so you have to extract and copy the files in your mod directory of GTPG 1.16.

I just give here the complete mod 2.0: u have to extract it, install folder in your \Mods panzer corps folder( not in my document) and activate it with GSME:

I prefer largely the SS version 1.14 (it is the same campaign) because recon storch at the beginning are available and it is so important to get wiew of battlefield! . In GTPT, no storch ! (and graphics are so ugy using DMP)

Finally I started GTPG, I am in 2nd scenario and playing the FM diff.
Due to the 100 exp restriction, I think FM is not a disadvantage so far.

I've never played panzer general but I hear it referenced maaany times in this forum and also on other strategy game places. I'll try it out after I'm done with my DAW campaign.

Then I suggest you Play the unfinished SS version or the base mod and dont download that folders.

I installed everything in My document/my games/Panzer Corps/mod
... and it works like a charm (even if it presents in game the campaign under the name GTPG v 1.16 instead of v. 2.0).
Of course the e-file can only be used with this campaign but it works.
I keep PaK mod as standard mod valid for the whole game.

Of course activation via GSME would also be possible but I have not tested.

Logically the campaign itself should remain in My documents/my games/Panzer Corps/mods, whereas DTM e-file with all data info should be tranferred via GSME if the player wants to use the e-file for the whole game.

Anyway I love DTM e-file I already used in DTM Eastern Front mod.

GTPG campaign is a must have (with three totally different paths after victory at Moscow in 1943).

--> i have not finished the SS version mod yet but i have overwrited all the data files from gptp- the scenarios files) and so if it is not finished, it is like i play GPTG mod but with storchs

There are several identical options, but the mod is suitable even for SS troops
