"inf smg" in axis opération
After axis opération 42 I realized that a russian infantry SMG with a strength of 1 was available in the captured element.
I didn't pay attention in opération 42, but during operation 43 I had the opportunity to capture several units of this type and now the number available allows me to create a unit even if its statistics are less interesting.
I wonder why this type of unit is captureable ?

Oh, this seems like a bug. I never tried to capture smg infantry. But you recieve that token for saving the 6th army. Its one of the 2 need tokens for the ahistorical part in AO43.
So i think it was never intended to form a unit of captured infantry

Re: "inf smg" in axis opération
It is not captured in anyway, but a token added to make game knowing you have saved the 6th Army in AO 42, because AO 42 and AO 43 are different games and don't inherit whatever AO 42 has during running into AO 43, so they have to give you something impossible to obtain in other means but still gets carried over when you start AO 43 from an AO 42 saved core.
Equipment is the best choice, as long as you don't delete the pool yourself, that 1 strength equipment can't be used to form a unit and get used up so you messed yourself without knowing. It only represents what you have done before in older AO, thus a token.

My reserve for this unit is currently 73 and I just upgraded one of my units with it for trial.
But these units appear in the no-historical thread at the end of 43 and are therefore obsolete

Do you happen to play with Limited Stock feature? I think someone has mentioned getting increased token stock before.

I’m playing without Limited Stock, and my SMG are reproducing as well! A feature or a bug?

Well, I'm glad I didn't rely on that token for long.
It's created at the very end of 42, and the scripts that look for it are executed immediately at the start of 43. At that point its converted into a campaign variable that cannot be contaminated like apparently that captured amount is.

But wouldn't you need it again in AO 44? I think there isn't any script that removes it or adds a new token at the end of AO 43, so I had assumed that you are keeping the token into AO 44 for something more.Kerensky wrote: ↑Sat Aug 27, 2022 12:27 am Well, I'm glad I didn't rely on that token for long.

Re: "inf smg" in axis opération
We'll find that out soon.
Re: "inf smg" in axis opération
I don't make promises I can't keep, so I can't. Not yet.

We all have learned to appreciate the precision of the English language according to Slitherine.
According to the Epsom English Dictionary (not related to the Oxford English Dictionary):
soon
/so͞on/
adverb
1. Later, but not too much later. Just sometime in the future.
