Mirror Division
Blagrot (Latin 490-338 BC) beat Hari72 (Jewish 163-111 BC) 58% - 23%
A heavily weighted Latin left beat the Jewish forces to the rough terrain and routed those who had tried, the Latin right in particular avoided combat as much as possible while the victorious troops swung around to encicle the enemy centre. Thanks for the game

Div 1
Flockaveli (Low Countries 1320-1414) draws with Karvon (Egyptian 664-571BC) 47-25
Lots of positioning as the flemish attempted to assault a difficult hill. The Egyptians were sporting enough to send their armored hoplites down onto the flat to fight the low country boys. In the end both armies withdrew in good order come nightfall.
Thanks for the game!

With a week to go, Div 1 has finished all it's matches, Div 2 has 6 games yet to report and Mirror has 8. Unfinished games will be subject to my adjudication based on feedback from both parties.
Congrat's to tyronec for his first place finish, going undefeated with a single draw in Div 1. It was a close finish with only a a couple of points separating Rosedelio, silver, and SnuggleBunnies, bronze, from 4th place finisher Flockaveli.

Blagrot (Jewish 163-111 BC) beat Hari72 (Latin 490-338 BC) 59% - 28%
The Zealots were generally able to defeat the hoplites and raw pikes did excellent work covering them while the irregular foot just tried not to die (barring one unit that killed two hoplite units from a nice hill spot). Ultimately the Jewish superiority in skirmishers mattered most, disrupting several units before the main clash and wearing down the battered surviviors as the battle went on. Thanks for the game.

think you may have missed this resukt too. final matches vs Random and Hari are all but completecarpenkm wrote: ↑Fri Jul 08, 2022 11:43 pm 25 carpenkm Free Canton 1320-1419 AD beat anderarcos11 German (City) (SE) 1375-1399 AD

The match was a little spoilt by a deep stream and hills, but the Free canton definitely have a significant advantage in this match up - the mirror match which my opponent will post shortly shows this!

Blagrot (Lithuanian 1360-1385 AD) drew with random27 (Roman 24 BC - 196 AD) 58% - 39%
The horses go round and round and round. The roman's own cavalry darted out from their infantry screen in the hope of getting rear charges but got only arrows for their efforts, the legions held their discipline for much fo the battle, only as evening drew near did the cavalry start finding easy flank and rear charges. One more turn might have snatched it with a low strength legionary unit engaged and surrounded but I would likely have lost a couple more units too, thanks for the game and thanks to Karvon for running this.

I see that in one of my battles the score has not been included, it is blank. However, being in a mirror, that battle must have been played, because the other is played.Karvon wrote: ↑Wed Aug 24, 2022 12:08 am With a week to go, Div 1 has finished all it's matches, Div 2 has 6 games yet to report and Mirror has 8. Yes, you've finished all your mirror matches; you still have on game in Div 2 vs Crossington which has not been reported as finished yet.anderarcos11 wrote: ↑Sun Aug 28, 2022 2:05 pmI see that in one of my battles the score has not been included, it is blank. Some good holds by the Greek Hoplites meant the knights weren't as effective as usual.

Re: Chaos Tourney VII Results
Due to some having RL issues with work/covid/vacation, I'm making one last extension to the 17th to finish up any remaining matches. Incompleted matches will be adjudicated after that.

Quite a lopsided matchup, though my opponent defended well and made it hard to win
