How to Discern the Height of a Square.

Post by champagne »

As I'm playing the Ashdown scenario, trying to find a way to beat the Vikings, I am irritated by my struggles to discern the exact height of each hex. It seems as though I can click on some hexes, and the height is revealed. But, with other hexes, that information is not provided.

To win this scenario, I'm sure I'll need to find some high ground to defend. What is the best way to find a square's Height information? Thanks.

Determining elevation at a glance can sometimes be deceiving as a space may be part of a larger hill or plateau. If a square has elevation, the height will be displayed when you cursor over the space, if none is listed, it's the default 0.

Thank you.

So, for example, if hypothetically we have a plateau at 100 meters elevation, then every square on that plateau will show an elevation of 100 meters, correct?

Yes.

btw, if I am not mistaken, in-game height is not expressed in any real-life units (meters, ft...) : "100" is neither "100 ft" nor "100 m." but just 100 in-game units.
