Division C

SawyerK (Lysimachid) defeated Badger73 with his Spartans in a very tough battle by 60 to 44. The Spartans used Veteran Hastates to blow through the Lysimachid center but the latter force successfully defended a hill on the right flank and used the rough ground on the left to deter heavy cavalry, at least for the time needed. Still, without a very rapid rally from a routed Veteran Pike unit, this could have gone the other way.

Karvon Arab Conquest 629 AD defeated snooky51 Dailami (928-1055 AD) w/ Armenian 885-1045 AD allies 64-38.

While fighting a holding action against the bulk of the Dailami forces on our left defending an enclosure area with a few of our spear supported by a pair of bowmen, the rest of our force poured around and over a long ridge on our right, overwhelming the enemy who probed in that direction and eventually enveloping the enemy center. Our defenders saw off a few of Dailami assault force, but all but one perished before the enemy finally broke.

Hardly call that a victory - Initial success but war wagons and damn Landsknecht plus Pikes were a pain to hack through and my Spears started to waver - several breaks on my side which I was able to rally thanks to my General (which seems to die continuously in other games). Could have gone either way - good game Vadim84 and good luck in your other games

The Empire invaded Tatooine with rows of Stormtroopers with long spikes and crossbows. They moved up on a hill which thy tried to use as their superior defensive base. Thankfully my Elite Tusken Raiders were able to lure some of the Long-Stickies out of the tight formation - the flanking did wonders while my Banthas and Dewbacks were able to come from behind - there was a lot of hacking and slaying and mid-term it could have been either way - thankfully I was able to get some flanks and finally get some troops behind the their dam elite Stormtroopers - at that state the Imperial army broke with one flank after another. The result is more brutal thanks to the final breaks than the game really developed until then - it was pretty even before. Good Game and wish you good luck in your next games [Apologize - I just watched the good old (the only one?) Star Wars episode and I was in the mood as it fitted with the factions and map ]

A very hard fought battle. The Castilian army took on the impregnable Swiss squares on a small hill. The Castilian cavalry were able to move freely after dispersing the lightly armed Swiss troops and won with several good rear attacks.

The Byzantine cavalry smashed the left, mounted wing of the Andalusians, while they dominated the other side of the front. The last act of battle, however, belonged to the Andalusians.

Badger73 (Spartan 221-146 BC with Roman 280-220 BC allies) defeated mh5064 (Antigonids 320-301 with Greek Allies) 46-14.

Rough terrain undid the Antigonids, impairing their movement enough for the Spartans to separate several elements from the main force and defeat them in detail while unsupported. This put the Spartans in better positions for winning the subsequent phalanx melee's and defeating the Antigonids. Thanks, Alessandro, for a hard fought match.
