Hi
I've just tried the demo and I really like the concept. However the AI was extremely easy to beat, even in my first game where I was completely surprised when the AI started combining spearmen to level 2 units and killing mine (a detail I cannot find described in the manual nor the tutorial). I see you can change difficulty level in the full game. Is the AI on the hardest difficulty significantly more challenging than in the demo? Or is multiplayer the only way to get a challenge?
Only once in the two demo games I played did I see the AI build anything else than spearmen, making the archer the only necessary unit to build.

What types of unit get built often depends on the map more than anything else, although the longer a game lasts the more likely it is to see types other than spearmen appearing.
The AI is set to difficulty 3/5 by default, at that difficulty it does make a fair number of mistakes. At 5/5 it is more of a challenge although how much of one it provides varies widely from person to person - some people say that 5 is very hard to beat, others have said they wish it was harder. I suppose it depends on your experience - if you have played a lot of strategy games then it will likely some across as too easy.
Difficulty also varies by map - some maps are just very easy to win, others can be nearly impossible to win.
As a side note (perhaps i shouldn't say this, but i expect someone will notice it sooner or later anyway) it is possible to change the difficulty in the demo if you don't mind a little file editing - in the "my documents\my games\conquest! medieval realms\settings.xml" file you can change the difficulty - numbers from 1 to 5 are valid values. It should be noted though, that not every setting in the file can be modified - some of them are ignored by the demo.
