SCW pulling my hair out- what's left

can't get the fleet to leave to sneak out to capture the 203 Big Artillery!!!!???? and can't remember how I've done it in the past? Help Please???

Just wait. Patience, grasshopper! I leave the last guy in the first port. Yes, he'll take some offshore fire, but so what. Those ships will eventually continue on their way to station off of Seville. Once they do, move your man post haste eastward. You'll have plenty of time to reach Gibraltar so long as you don't forget about him (which I've done a couple of times :oops:). If you want, hold him away for a few turns before you move into port and depart.

Hold back one infantry on the Moroccan shore but keep it out of sight of the enemy ships, usually in the first hill hex south of the city where your army started (Tangier? Ceuta? Can’t remember). At the same time, put an infantry unit into the harbor of Cadiz on the Spanish mainland after you conquer the city. It will lure the Republican fleet away from your starting base. While the battleship and cruisers will shell the bait infantry, sneak your reserve infantry out of the hills, into eastern harbor (as far away from the enemy fleet preoccupied with shelling your bait infantry in Cadiz). Then, get it into a transport which the enemy fleet out of sight and head toward Gibraltar (use your scout plane if you are unsure). Keep the Republicans fleet busy with your bait another turn or two. After that, the Republican fleet can no longer catch up with your transport and you should be able to get the objective. Enjoy!

Well i just quote and reply to add something, because the suggested solutions will work.

But instead of a bait infantry you can use any of your core units. I prefer using a 15 OS face down anti-air and keep it a full strength all the time in the city outside the harbor on the spanish mainland. At some point 2 cruiser will enter those harbor hexes. if you then attack with a full strength antiair one of those ships you will earn the ground defence lvl 2 and sometimes lvl 3 medal (i always do this on generalissimus) .

for me it works like this,
the last infantery stay back and dont get to the airport for transportation,
stay 1 or 2 hexes away from the harbours,
i think its turn 6 or 7 when the enemy fleet is trough the canal, if you dont have any own units in the near of sea hexes
then you can sneak to the 203 cache

thanks for the help. easiest is to leave 1 infantry back on the African side. When does the Verdeja become available?

finally made to EBRO. just got Galland. need a little Hero assignment recommendations for the difficult EBRO. i have 1 each of Double Attack, Envelopment, Lighting Attack, Reduced Slots, Consolidator, Expert Support. 2 Tank Killers. rest of my Heroes r a mixture of Distraction, Fast Deployment, Tenacious Defense, Entrenchment Killer3x and 4x, etc. no Zero Slots. 1.5x's. Hit Run, Crippling Blow, etc. been using Double Attack, Consolidator, Envelopment on the Verdeja but I'm wondering if the Consolidator and 2Attack should go with Galland? thoughts, unique combos, etc. all welcome. 3 max Hero assignment. thanks

Your Air Force is the weakest part of your force at this point (especially if you snagged the 210mm guns), so IMHO your instincts are on target.
