Conforming: If Contacted by 2BG..??

Post by Blathergut »

Just wondering:

If a BG is charged and contacted in Impact by two enemy BGs, where one contacts the last bit of the front edge of the enemy base and the 2nd BG also contacts that base (but has more bases in contact w the enemy), what happens?

Does the large BG conform to the enemy by contacting all of the front bases and the other BG conforms by sliding off into overlap?

Or would the single file BG have to conform and face the enemy base it contacted and the larger BG would be slide over to make room for this conform?

This make any sense?

Or...if two enemy BGs contact one base...at an angle (all of the above is at an angle)...does the owning player choose which will fight? Or would the one with most contact or 'space' fight?

Should I forget this and go to bed??

WHo fights

If one side has more dice available, then it chooses which to drop. So if:

..Cv..Cv
Kn..Kn..El

Then at impact the Kn/El player can choose to fight using 2 dice of Kn and 2 of El, or 4 of Kn. So the added dice give choice. Note if the El has another frontal opponent then dice are equal and they just fight in order to use all dice, so it really only occurs if you can get 2BGs onto 1 BG.

After the combat they conform normally which is shortest move to overlap or frontal contact. So all move to the right.

Angles make no difference to the principles above, they only change the distances when you decide which is the shortest move to confrom.
