There is a discrepancy between the main list and allies list. Legions are in BGs of 6-12 in the main list but the allies list gives 4-12.

Is this a typo or deliberate?

Also does the 50% Average or Poor rule apply to allied contingents? I am assuming yes but can see an objective justification for an allied contingent that cherry picks the best units from the army.

I think we decided it should apply - however, I've been asked a few times and it probably needs an official bit in the FAQ/Errata some time.

I don't think that is so unusual. I believe there is more than one list in which the minimum battlegroup size changes between main list and allies list. Don't have the books in front of me but will look later for another example.

Yup the Numidians is one such example (I believe)
