West Conference - Pod A
Carpenkm (Scots) beat General Shapur (Low Countries) 62 - 59
Carpenkm = 63 pts
General Shapur = 59 pts
A proper clash of lines which had the strangest ending. Slightly behind the Scots were looking like they would loose when the Low Countries Standard Wagon turned 45 degrees and moved one square resulting in the loss of the rout bonus and a swing of 6% in favour of the Scots. I have now read the rules!!! Great game and well played to my opponent.

West Conference Pod A
oscarius: English 1155-1271 AD w/Scots allies beats carpenkm: Scots (Isles and Highlands) 1050-1319 AD w/Norwegian allies
62 - 44
A tough slug out. My foe had the uphill and a hearty amount of crossbows. I divided my forces into a hill containment force and another one designed to defeat his forces on the flat Some lucky shooting by my own fairly meagre ranged assets softened up the central defending highlanders for a daring charge by my knights who managed to fight their way uphill. Still it was a nasty dicey fight but luckily my flanking forces eventually came through. My opponent was surprisingly cautious (I think out of fear of being flanked) with his own knights who spent most of the game staring at my (much cheaper..) sergeants. Well played and a nice revenge for my earlier loss to this player
A fun and challenging game where I think my aggressive strategy paid off.
