It was a very tough battle. Fortunately a few spearmen on my left managed to hold off some cavalry halfway through the battle. A wagon was a barrier that let my Dismounted Knights cause some damage. The wagon was very helpful.

A high hill in the centre, with a difficult slope and rough ground at the top, it was like a fortress to my infantry and a good base for horse flanking excursions. Scotsmen in this situation did not have many arguments against Georgians.

Just enough rough going hampered the Byzantine attack and enabled the Ghurid victory. Thanks for the game.

The large stream helped the Numidian right keep the Byzantines at a standoff while the right of the army slowly enveloped.

c) One player is forfeiting but raising their break % to 40 won't result in their army breaking or they are already in excess of 40% than a % will be added to the forfeiting player's score to enable their opponent to have an outright victory.
e.g. The forfeiting player is at 34% while their opponent is at 28% so 19% is added to the forfeiting players 34% to reach 53% for the forfeit thus awarding 85pts to the winner and 28pts to the loser.

Here rpadilla's 52 will be raised to 54. So the result is 54-29 and the score is 85-28

Super close game that was barely won in the end by auto-breaking a few units. The Ptolemaic raw pikes did exceedingly well on their right, while the Syracusans broke through on their own right. A Pyrrhic victory, my opponent played very well, GG!

Enjoyable game with Blagrot, who crushed my infantry but got stuck somewhat with my MF due to the rough ground in the middle. I had
a small ambush set up, which caused some minor problems for Blagrot. But overall, it could have gone either way.

Dreddradish Anglo Saxon (600-870AD) defeats Kroche Viking 790-899AD with British 600-1030AD allies; 69 - 40

From the forest to the hill a thick line of bodies still marks where the two armies met. Very little subtlety here. Saxon numbers won the day.

Division C - As before, with mcfcivo still leading and now favourite for being promoted and winning the division.

Division B - As before. However the relegation battle is between 4 players, I think. Tomoegozen, Chherif, IMC and Ulysisgrunt

Division A - Dredraddish is the obvious favourite to win Division A, as well as the top points scorer in TDC I Dark Ages period. Aetius still has a chance to catch him, however he would need 511 points in his last 5 games. The relegation battle is between Kroche, Oscarius and rpadilla 1988 with MarkLeslie and Desertedfox.

Division D

Blagrot - Carthage (Hannibal in Africa 202BC) beat SawyerK - Roman 199-106 BC with Pergamene 262-191 BC 61% - 37%

An excellent battle, the Roman started by claiming a hill but the rapid death of their skirmishers convinced them that a prolonged wait wasn't in their favour and they struck as before the Carthaginian right could swing around fully. The battle swiung back and forth with the Roman right breaking through the foot but being delayed by the african horse while both armies vets tore each other apart in the centre, Hannibals extra reserves proved critical however and found enough gaps to break down the legions. A great game with a nice chat.
