Teutonic right flank was protected by a wood and rough ground which slowed up the Grenadine left long enough for a Teutonic breakthrough on the opposite flank to hit into the supporting missile troops. GG.

Blagrot - Carthage (Hannibal in Africa 202BC) beat bodhran - Bosporian 84-10 and their allies Sarmates 66%-40%

This game started badly with the bosphoran foot archers enjoying some good turns and the horse archers pelting the african infantry, the lancers got caught on medium foot in good terrain however and once the lines closed the Bosporian foot were no match in the open or the rough. The remainder of the game was a lancer hunt until enough fell (mostly to auto-breaks) to claim victory. Thanks for the close game

A very tricksy map high hills dominating a tight space between river and woods.
Forunately for the French/Viking force a preponderance of light troops allowed the hills to be taken and used as a platform to manouvre to use the huscarls against weaker points in the Norman line and force through.

A tough slugging match between heavy foot on a predominantly flat field. The Saxons were able to bring their strong flank into contact slightly before the Vikings theirs and convert that into dominance in the centre. Well played to Aetius.

Triarii French 888-1049 with Viking 790-899 allies defeats IMC Indian (Rajput) 650-1049 AD & Indian (Hindu North) 62-41

A slow and steady French shieldwall and dismounted cavalry advance against the Indian left was slowed by very effective Indian cavalry attacks from both flanks. Chaos became widespread as the Indian cavalry on the French left were successful against shieldwall units and pursued/charged into into the centre of the French force. However the Indian infantry and Elephants could not hold against Huscarls and Dismounted armoured spears leading the French advance. These units were able to turn about and help overwhelm the Indian cavalry now in their rear without being flanked by these previously successful troops.

Tough and very interesting game - many thanks to IMC.

Holien - Carthaginian (Hannibal in Africa) 202 BC w/Numidian Defeats Markleslie - Parthian 250BC-225 AD with Seleucid allies 47% to 62%

Hannibal was sorely tested by the Parthian forces and lost three elephants during the course of the battle. A fairly open map with some rough patches for both sides to use. Hannibal swung a distraction force to the right (actually was just outclassed and died quickly, but as Hannibal is writing this of course it was his intention all along). This force while being dispatched did stretch the Parthian forces out and allowed Hannibal to focus on the left flank and centre. The winning of the left flank ultimately won Hannibal the victory as the central force lost two elephants and at one point could have lost the game for Hannibal. The mass of forces allowed Hannibal to isolate the over stretched Parthians and the centre finally collapsed as numerous flank charges and trapped Parthian Cavalry were dispatched.

A tough game and opponent and with better luck this could have easily been won by Mark. An "A Div" player in the makings. Many thanks for the game, all the best....
